  • Set/Reset Reading Status

    On Android the reading status can be set/reset in library view by selecting the three dot icon at the end of the line - it is one of the options. However, this option is missing from the same menu in iOS and I cannot find it anywhere else on my iPad. Is this a bug?????

    Hi again Robert, The instructions you gave actually work for me on Android. If I touch the three dot icon at the end of the line (in library view) one of the options is to reset the reading status. However, that item is missing from the same menu on iOS. Tony.

    Hi Robert, I don't follow you. The only place I can find the reading status on iOS is in the library. Touching and holding that circle does nothing until I remove my finger and then it just opens the resource. Are you on the latest iOS and the latest version of Logos app? Thanks, Tony.

  • BUG - Reading Status

    I used to be able to go to the info panel in the library, click on the green circle (reading status) and set or reset it. This is no longer working. If I click on the circle nothing happens. This is on a WIndows laptop running the latest version of Windows and the latest version of Logos.

    There is another thread on this same subject.... https://community.logos.com/forums/t/8608.aspx Loads of people saying they want this in Logos. So, I went to vote for it and to my amazement found that it had only collected 11 votes. So it’s not really surprising that there seems to be inaction on behalf of FL.

    Hi Justin. There are other benefits to turning off scrolling on mobile devices. Selecting and highlighting is much, much, easier. With scrolling on when you want to select text, the page tends to scroll, rather than the pointer moving down on the area you are trying to select.

    Hi JT. I had mentioned this on another thread (not sure why?) https://cmmunity.logos.com/forums/t/182742.aspx I didn't realise that I had to close the book and manually sync on my devices. I had been leaving them open. Hey-ho, you live and learn! Thanks for all your help. You must have the patience of a saint dealing with dumbos like me! Tony.

    Hi JT. I have followed the first set of instructions. I downloaded the file and copied it to the correct directory and found that I already had a copy of the file. Just to be sure I replaced it with the downloaded one. Then I opened Powershell and typed in the command as instructed and I got the following error message in Powershell.... .\RegisterSmartTags

    Thank you JT and Denise. What you say makes much sense and I can now see the problems that the sort of sync I am expecting would cause. I really do appreciate your comments and help. However, if I read on my laptop it syncs the latest read position back to Android and iPad! So, currently FL seem to have a foot in each side of the argument! Any suggestions

Not only does this seem pretty logical to me (Kindle in its simplicity even manages this) but I’m almost certain it used to work that way. interestingly I started

Interestingly, as I have found this afternoon, if I start reading a book on my laptop, then switch to either my iPad or Android phone, it opens on them to exactly the same page as

    When reading books on either iPad or Android the latest reading position is not synced between any of the devices. It works OK syncing from PC to mobiles.

    Am I dreaming or did Logos use to sync books between devices? I’m almost certain that if I started reading a book on my iPad or Android phone I could then swap either between them or to my laptop and follow on from where I left off! This no longer happens!

    David Hooton. Item 6 on Wiki article says...... Smart Tags are deprecated by Microsoft, and may not work on versions of Office newer than 2016. They are certainly not in Office 365!
