• Re: A systematic theology friendly to confessional baptist covenant theology
Do you think that his views are somewhat Baptistic?
No. Dr. Horton is Presbyterian/Reformed with a heavy 2 kingdom theology. Given that he teaches at Westminster California, his covenant theology is likely along the lines of Meredith Kline. -Donnie
Could somebody explain the covenant of works and Jesus? Never heard that before. Did He have a covenant with the Father prior to His incarnation??
I'm reluctant to directly answer your question since it strays into violation of forum rules. But you can find answers to your questions if you read up on the "covenant of redemption
In my experience, if you change the mobile app from page to scroll, this issue is less of a problem, but nonetheless it still happens.
Thanks, Doc. I really dislike the scrolling view. I often use two-finger drag to adjust the specific location of the page, but I just want to tap the margin to advance the page. -Donnie

I've long thought a visual glossary for the UI is needed (actually wishing I had time to create one), and I'm not sure I've seen one. What I mean is: what's a tab, what's a panel, what's a context menu, etc.? There are a whole lot of terms that medium- to long-time users take for granted but aren't intuitive and thus not clear to a new user. That presents

  • Re: SUGGESTION: Modernize Sentence Diagrammer so it gets more use PART 2 - Trees and dependencies

I wholeheartedly agree with this. I no longer use the sentence diagramming tool, and I tried but don't use the Canvas tool, b/c browser-based alternatives are orders of magnitude easier to use and more responsive. I'm necessarily task-focused when I'm doing such work, and the feature from L4-L8 gets in the way. IMO, the speed, ease-of-use, and task

    Bump.
These are great suggestions. Thanks for being so specific. We're hearing from users that Layouts are one of their favorite features from L8 on mobile. I know we have lots of room to improve-- and I hope that we can lean into some of those improvements this year.
It's been a year. I'm not aware of any substantive

Phil: I think this has been referenced in this thread, but I couldn't find it just now. Please fix the problems with tabs that goes back to the changes with the L8 release. You seemed to agree with the feedback at the time: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/174066/1005146.aspx - It takes a disproportionate number of clicks to move from the leftmost

The litany of problems with "tabs" behavior and appearance goes back to the release of L8: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/174066/1005146.aspx Phil Gons said they were considering correcting / improving it, but I've not seen any evidence of actual changes since then. It's super-frustrating. -Donnie
The mobile reading plan implementation is severely broken. Dozens of cases already exist and I don't expect any of them to be fixed in the next few years but that's just my opinion.
As I pointed out in my original post, it's not just a problem with reading plans. Normal Bible navigation results in the same problem. -Donnie

  • Re: Logos.com platform wish list for 2020

A major shortcoming when browsing resources and adding them to your cart is that the site immediately takes you to your cart. That makes it difficult and error prone to return to the list of resources you were looking at. If your list is based on a search and a faceted filter and a sort and a count per page, you have to hope the back button works or
