Wow! What great replies. I knew I could depend on the fellowship at Logos for good ideas. Example: I had not considered was DTS. I look forward to future posts on this thread.

  • Off Topic: D.Min. in South Central Texas

Friends, I'm thinking about jumping back into school for a D.Min. Are there seminaries in south central Texas (or elsewhere) you would recommend? I'm Baptist, so I'm inquiring at Truett Seminary (Baylor University) and Southwestern in Ft. Worth. Other worthy schools I should consider? I don't mind at least entertaining the thought of branching out a

Josh Hunt is a popular speaker on building great Sunday School classes. He recently posted this comparison of Logos 4 to...another product. I thought the forum would enjoy his review. Friends, First, let none doubt my loyalty to Logos! If you prick me, do I not bleed blue? Having said that, a conference speaker I like recently wrote a comparison between Logos 4 and WS 9. His comments are insightful and mostly complimentary to Logos. I'd like to publish them here in this forum, but figure there may be policies (written or otherwise
Thanks for the logs. I can see that they contain "Resource 'LLS:1.0.351' is out of date." (good) but then "No updates are available." (bad). While we look into this, you can download and scan http://resources.assets.logos.com/lls_1.0.351/2010-12-06T22_09_20Z/HCSB.logos4 to get the resource back.
Apparently I
While AYBD has many strengths over the ISBE, one advantage I find for the ISBE over the AYBD is that the ISBE is more willing to discuss theology.
Nice observation about theology references in the ISBE, Todd. My two cents worth: I think ISBE is more conservative, albeit perhaps less scholarly. Don't get me wrong

Been running L4 on a single-core AMD netbook for about 4 months. I have more RAM, though: 4Gb. A passage guide search can be painfully slow--a good time to refill your tea glass or coffee cup. But it does work, and reliably. I don't think I've ever had L4 "hang" on the netbook.

Michael, as long as you load your text before you hit the pulpit there should be no problem. The "reading view" may work best (click the "down triangle" by the Bible's "book cover" in the menu bar and choose "show reading view." The netbook will load Logos slowly and search slowly. Once the program is loaded and a search as been done, performance is

I have tried taking a notebook or netbook to peer Bible studies as a participant, and even among fellow pastors it seems distracting.
