• Update to 4.2a SR-2 available today

A new 47 Mb update is available today (March 8); should be in the automatic update queue tomorrow. I'm thinking it may be related to the problem some have been having in getting release notes and the updated resources list on their home page. Type "update now" in the command box to download today. I assume tomorrow it will download automatically.

  • Re: Where is UPDATED RESOURCES found in Logos 4.2a?

After the update and re-index; after rebooting L4; then rebooting the PC and L4; after making sure I have the right options checked under "customize" on the home page, I cannot find Release Notes or Updated Resources on my home page. Do they "hide" in any particular place, or are they listed as an article in the colums?
At first I was confused that it wasn't working for me. However, by playing around with it a bit I see how it works. It isn't really click and drag (a la Google Maps). It's click & hold > move mouse cursor > release and then the RI scrolls in the opposite direction. That's counter-intuitive if I'm thinking "click-drag," but you
One thing I've found in using desktop search engines, or even the search capabilities of WP, is that I need to be consistent with how I cite Scripture. Is it 1 Cor 13:8 , or 1Cor 13:8 , or 1Co 13.8 , or 1 Co 13,8 (space between 1 & Cor?, always use a colon?, abbreviation or not?)? I have tried to use a full Bible name

  • MS Word or Notes

Bible Study Notes I'm curious about how many of us use the Logos note feature versus pasting info into a word processor like MS Word or One Note. I paste everything into Word. I've simply never made a singe Logos note (except at Camp Logos to learn how). I use a desktop search engine to find relevant document files for work I've already done. Usually
For me the addition of the ECF and the New American commentaries are the most compelling reasons to jump to Silver. Don't know about the former, but feel you'll be very glad for the later.
I've been enjoying them both. I've actually had the New American set for several years (purchased seperately, probably about

Thanks for the many good tips and suggestions. Perhaps some others will chime in, too. I spend a couple or three hours pouring over the additions to my resources and plugged them into some old and new collections. I also learned I need to brush up on the syntax of building these tools, too. Truth be known, I also discovered some neat titles I already

  • Exploring Silver

I just upgraded from Scholar's to Silver because of a nice book credit I earned wtih Logos by helping demonstrate L4 to a area pastor's group. For those of you who already have the Sliver library, what are your favorite resources? I'm like a kid at Christmas, wondering which toy to play with first.

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm going to upgrade to from Scholar to Silver. It looks like the biggest bang for my buck. BTW, if there are sales reps in our area who can come to your community, this is a great way to grow your library. Look for ministerial associations, Bible study groups, etc. Your work as host is minimal, and $150 book credit,
I still seem to get some "lag" (if that is the correct term) especially when typing notes and trying to select verse for copy even with minimal books open. Is this pretty normal? My computer is probably a mid range computer i was just expecting it to handle Logos a little better. I'm not complaining, in fact i really

  • Re: Microsoft Word Integration

For what it's worth I still keep all my exegeses notes in Word (cutting and pasting from Logos). I then use a desktop search engine to dig thru my documents to find prior studies and the such. I have recently been exploring the smart tag features and am impressed. I figure I'm a little off-topic here, but I have been curious how many use Logos' note

Today I received $150 book credit with Logos! WOW! It came about when I helped host a Logos 4 demonstration to a local pastor's group: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/29450.aspx The allowance is burning a hole and my pocket and I'm like a kid in a candy store. I'd love some feedback about how to use this windfall. I have Scholar's Library 4 (KF
