Dave, thanks for the suggestions again. I had posted in its own thread but hadn't gotten any response. But I bumped it up here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/12271.aspx I'll stop cluttering up this thread! Sorry!

I'll bump this up a little bit here so I stop cluttering up other threads with similar questions. I've been playing with the search syntax trying to find something that will work, and I've not gotten much to happen. Anyone have any thoughts on how to search (and therefore, be able to highlight) all the links to the critical apparatus EDIT: I thought
-
Sure, here's mine, which is more or less what I've been using for years now, but I just recently added the critical apparatus. Hope this image isn't too big! I'm not sure if that will blow up at all or not. I've got Left colum: Top is my guide, and that's also where I plunk notes down; bottom is my critical app. Right top is my text. Two Hebrew Bibles

Thanks Dave! However, I'm not trying to highlight references to Bible books, but I'm trying to highlight references to other resources in my library. Thus changing the color of links to, say, my critical apparatus or to the TDNT or really any other book in the library. Any thoughts?
-
Trying to learn these things. The syntax is a bit different than I'm used to, but I think I'm getting it. I'm primarily trying to use the search parameters to create visual filters. Is there a way to search all references to a given resource? I'm looking to highlight all the links in my NA27 w/ apparatus to the apparatus itself, since the diminutive

Depends on what you're looking for in a commentary. My absolute favorite set, though not entirely scholarly [i.e., no Greek or Hebrew commentary in the text for the most part], is The People's Bible from Northwestern Publish House. Written for lay people, but with enough insight to help any pastor with some thoughts for Bible Class or a sermon, easy

Hi all! I'm bringing this question in from an older post in the Suggestions forum because I think this area gets more traffic, and someone with a good idea might see it here and not there. See the original here: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/3970.aspx I just got the SESB yesterday, pretty much entirely for the Greek and Hebrew critical apparatuses
-
Sorry to resurrect an ancient thread, but has anyone gotten this to work? I just got the SESB today and would love to have those critical marks be more visible, but I can't get the visual filter to do anything with those marks, even as a direct copy-and-paste (which yields X's and check marks and other odd things in the visual filter box; I'm assuming

I have a Dell Studio 15 with a 2.53 Ghz Core2Duo, 4 GB of RAM, and Windows 7 (64 bit). Logos 4 can get bogged down at times, but overall it works very well. It feels more responsive than Libronix 3 did, anyway.
-
Wow, I don't know what I was doing or not doing before, but now it's working just as you all said it would/should. Thanks!
-
If Logos is open, even in the background, if you hit CTRL-ALT-B (make sure to hold down each button as you press it), the Copy Bible Verses window should show up. - Anyone know if there's a chance of getting a tray icon for this functionality like Libronix 3 had? I know the keyboard shortcut if probably just as fast, but I'm so used to that now and

Is there a way to figure out what resources a handout is pulling from? I was just playing with it and it spit out a neat diagram of the NT Jerusalem and I'm not sure where it got that from, but I would like to know to see what else is in that resource! EDIT: It came form John 18:1-11 if that helps anybody even just narrow it down for me, but I would

Thanks for the replies, MJ and Kevin! I'll have to keep playing with it and figuring out a good fit. Using the same basic study tools for the last 6 years, I'm slow to change. ;) That top note section would work, but it doesn't expand as it gets longer, it scrolls. I'd rather be able to see the whole section I'm working with without scrolling. Fussy

Hi all! As I'm digging into the guides a little bit more, I'm really liking what I'm finding. Just a couple of questions if the following things are possible. 1) Is it possible to set, by default, a section in the guide to be collapsed? I'd like my commentary and grammar lists be at the top, but I don't want them eating a whole lot of room on that guide

On the opposite side of the fence from some folks here, I adore the lectionary system and think it's a great way to have balance in both content and theme in our weekly worship! As a result, I wouldn't mind having our lectionary show up in my home page. Is it possible to have the lectionary reading show up there? I know I can just mouse-hover over the

Yup, that works for me Gary. That seems really weird though.

I don't have too much on Calvin in my library, but just typing in "Calvin" into the "Start With" box netted me everything that I own that I would put into such a collection. Are you looking for something a bit fancier?
-
I just tried this. I added a note to my NIV Bible, and it doesn't show up in my NASB or ESV. I just highlighted a verse and clicked "Add note to [most recent note file]." Even with "Reference" selected, it doesn't seem to be working on my end either.
-
If I may be so bold as to ask another question. Is there a way to change the note file's auto-saving down from "constant" to like, every minute or so? The sluggishness that occurs when typing is a little obnoxious, and if I ended up losing a minute or two of work on a note file, that would be a small price to pay to smooth out that process. I always

ah-ha! I was getting stuck in the "fonts" section there and never bothered to look farther. I'm an idiot! Thank you!!
