But with Faithlife it seems to be all or nothing when it comes to Verbum.
Kiyah, I appreciate your desire to take holistic view of Church tradition. However, Verbum is an intentionally distinct brand with a different audience than Logos. Even the "Set Verbum to Yes" command is somewhat outdated (and subject to deprecation

The issue here stems from the fact that the workflow response fields

Hi, Reuben, Thanks for your thoughts. Workflows and Notes development are on hold for now while we work on other features. We'll keep fixing bugs as needed, but no new improvements are planned in the immediate future. We are intentionally limiting the scope of new feature work to just a few things at a time. Right now, that includes the Selection Menu

    1. There are many phrasal nouns which can be looked up directly as a headword. e.g., "love of God," "kingdom of God," "holy people," "Holy Spirit," "Sea of Galilee," etc. 2. There are other phrases that have an LCV equivalent or alias, like those you mention. "Jesus Christ" etc. Parsing phrases for Look up via the Context Menu would be new work that

Currently, the Study command performs the first available action in this order: Open Factbook when any Bible Knowledge entity (Person, Place, Thing) is present Open Bible Word Study (for a single word) in Bible text. (This respects the "Prefer Lemmas" setting when applicable; but there is a known issue that the lemma is passed with incorrect characters

Soon after the release of the guide notes in 8.5, we plan to migrate users' existing data from the old " saved guide " notes into Logos 8's Notes tool. We will begin by migrating guides notes for users who have been active in the beta program. If you would like to be specifically included for early testing of migrated guide notes (whether or not you

Tanner, I'm very sorry for the trouble. That little dropdown depends on an online service that tells the application what resources should be in the "Recommended" download for your particular Logos 8 library. For some reason, you are getting an error trying to reach that service. The last time this happened , we were able to find, diagnose, and fix

  • Removing Handouts in 8.5

Handout documents will no longer be able to be created in Logos 8.5. Handout documents were an experimental feature in Logos 4 on Windows (it was never supported on Mac), which has been officially deprecated for several years . ("Handout document" is not to be confused with the printable "handout" view of Sermon documents, which is still supported.

The reason for the change is 1) to reduce visual clutter on the screen, and 2) to reduce the friction on entering your next command. Having said that, I really like the idea of retaining a history of previous commands; I found myself wishing for that just this past week. When focus is set to an empty Go box, would you prefer a list of: Previous inputs
