• Re: the new Logos 8 Notes Tool - loss of Logos 7 Note file functionality

Hello, Michael, I understand your request perfectly. Nothing has changed since my response a few days ago, but I will try to provide some clarity. You would like: The NOTEBOOK TITLE to be visible in the TAB of the Notes tool panel. Status: This work is already underway. The TITLE of all open notebooks to appear in the CONTEXT menu as a list. e.g., Add

Noted, Matt. This case was already next in the queue, but your feedback adds a little more urgency. We'll get it fixed as soon as we can.
I would suggest a) to change the wording and explicitly say "xx resources and datasets updated" b) to add a scrollbar
We are working on this and a few other tweaks for beta 2.

Hi, Michael, Just a very quick response here. Yes, we've scheduled the developer work to put the notebook title in the Notes panel tab . This means writing the code; it will take some time for that functionality to filter down through our shipping cycle so you see it working in the app. Like Andrew, I hesitate to put a date on it, since surprises can
t it makes sense to cater for L7 homepage users when the preferred bible is usually open in one's layout.
This sums up our reasoning, but it applies to new users as well. We don't want to make loading a passage study layout too hard to discover (as is presently the case for the topic study layout; working on that).

Thanks for your patience, Levi (and everyone). Our dev team is working hard on bringing new Notes to feature parity with the old system. 8.2 will ship next week, with some of those improvements, and citation hyperlinks and sort by reference are still a high priority on the road map. Levi, thanks especially for the screencasts; it's always helpful to
Thanks for adding in Labels in 8.2b3!
Glad you are enjoying it! :) Please note, we've decided not to include labels in 8.2 stable; we want to make some tweaks, and we'd like to put it through a full beta cycle (ie, 8.3) for feedback before releasing it to all L8 users. We also working on label search integration

  • Re: Question for Devs on Copying vs. Citing

Hi, phrogger, "Copy Citations" and "Copy Bible Verses" are different things. Citation refers to a bibliographic citation of where the quote came from, such as you might use in a footnote on an academic paper. Students can choose the style of citation that is appropriate for their field of study, such as Turabian or Chicago Manual of Style. RIS would

Hi, everyone. These features are some of our highest priorities to get functional in the new Notes tool. I hesitate to make any predictions on when you'll see them in the app, because there are always unforeseen complications-- for example, sorting by reference is at the top of our most-wanted list , but it's not as simple as it sounds. It needs some
