the official FL stance
David, I think this is an overstatement. The official stance is more like, "anchors make it easier to automatically organize your notes." Jeff, I'm sorry about the trouble. Can you check a few things for troubleshooting? Hover your mouse over the sync icon on the top right , to see if your items are downloading. Make sure "Notes and Highlights" is turned on in your Bible's visual filters: Open the Tools menu > Notes, and see if your recently-created highlights are listed.

Happy American Presidents' Day, Michael. :) You can use command to switch back to the old notes system without any risk of losing data. We put a not-so-subtle warning on that page because there are a number of subtle complexities you could encounter: Old Notes syncs to New Notes, but not vice versa. Any notes that you have created or edited in the new

We are continuing to make improvements to the Notes tool in Logos 8, especially where it is not integrated with Logos in all the same ways that the old note documents system was. I've updated the Notes FAQ page with the current prioritized list of missing functionality. https://www.logos.com/faq/notes#missing-functionality For transparency, below are

Thanks, Doc B. We received over 400 questions during the webinar. Some of these I responded to on-air, many I skipped because they concerned features that I already planned to address in my outline, and several more of most common questions I answered in an FAQ: https://faithlife.com/posts/1703885 I'd be happy to hear what other questions you still

Levi, this is working as designed. Ctrl+Shift+K erases the highlight from the selected text. To put it another way, it removes the anchor from the selected text range. If you remove all content from a note -- that is, it contains no note, and no anchors -- the note is automatically deleted. That's why some of your notes disappeared (the ones with nothing

Dave, I think this is all working as expected. Here's some more background that might help inform your underlying assumptions: Resources that were hidden pre-8.3 will be treated as "cloud" when unhidden. (Rationale: It's more likely for a user to change their mind about hiding a resource based on space constraints than if they hid it based on content

Dave, There is no change to the notification when auto-update is turned off. We are talking about expanding that notification bar to be aware of new licenses, which would take bit more effort.
