  • Re: Thank You, Bob

Thanks for the note, and sorry for taking so long to acknowledge it. I appreciate having passionate users who keep us on track, and who forgive us when we make a mistake. And, maybe unique in the world of software, who are kind and acknowledge when we fix things too. :-)

  • 1 pm (Pacific) Tuesday Video Conference Call - Church Tools

Please join me at 1 pm (US Pacific Time) on Tuesday, July 10th for a live video conversation about church tools. This is a casual conversation, direct from desk in my office. I'm going to share some of what we're doing in church products, talk about why we're doing church products, and explain how our church tools (Faithlife Proclaim, Faithlife Sites

Bellingham suffers a zombie apocalypse annually. Here's video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FZchV_omNSc ( https://www.bellingham.org/events/thrillingham/ ) Faithlife has survived each year. I'm more worried about the Naked Bike Ride... which starts in half an hour. Fortunately, I flew to Oregon today. http://www.bellinghamherald.com/news/local/article212145899

  • Faithlife and Logos Bible Software: Here for the long haul!

With the news about BibleWorks going out of business, some users have reached out to ask if their investment in Logos Bible Software is safe. YES! Logos Bible Software began in 1991, and we are still actively supporting and developing it today. We started on floppy disks, transitioned to CD-ROMs, expanded to the Mac, built mobile apps for iOS and Android

  • Re: A proposal that benefits everyone

When we stop offering an old edition in favor of the new edition, it's almost always the publisher's decision, not ours. In the case of BAGD and NIV84, I know for certain it's the publisher's decision. I'm pretty certain that both publishers feel strongly about this -- particularly on the NIV -- but will ask our Publisher Relations team to take another

  • Re: What volunteer roles do you have at your church?

I think the team at Planning Center is fantastic, and they've built a great tool that is used by thousands of churches. We're glad for their friendship and integration with Proclaim. We do believe that there are churches that would value a tightly integrated set of tools, and that some form of scheduling makes sense as a complement to Faithlife Proclaim

  • What volunteer roles do you have at your church?

We are building a list of typical volunteer roles at a church -- the roles for which you need to regularly schedule people. ("Each week we need two greeters, four ushers, an organist, a tuba player, a worship leader, four nursery volunteers....") We are creating a related list of skills you might want to track within your congregation, whether spiritual

  • Re: Logos 8 Wishlist

Our basic search reflects a different era, when searches were precise and searchers (often) knew boolean logic... Google has taught us all to just 'ask the Internet', and we need to adapt, while keeping our specialized capabilities for the scenarios where they make sense. (Google can't find cultural concepts or words by morphology...) One of the biggest

  • Re: Win $100 Logos credit...

One assumption I have is that people would like to be 'freed from the land-line'... and that churches are in a weird middle-ground of needing 'a business phone system' (the ability to transfer calls to various people with different responsibilities) but, unless large, most of their team isn't on-site all the time, and they don't have the budget for

  • Re: Wow 7 Pages!

We chose this forum software almost a decade ago... a primary motivator was the ability to use existing Logos.com user accounts, which wasn't something we could do with all the third-party platforms. (As well as a bias towards source-available solutions for .NET, since we use that for all our web coding. We didn't want to have to integrate a new tech

  • Win $100 Logos credit...

I'm doing research on church operations. Please help me by answering these short surveys. Everyone who does, and enters their email address at the end, will be entered into a drawing for a $100 credit at Logos.com. (We'll have three winners, chosen in a week.) Answering both surveys puts you in the drawing twice. They are short, one-page surveys. Church
