  • Re: Short Titles: Why do certain books have them while certain others don't?

Some of this is done by hand, and there may be inconsistency (or older resources produced before we did this). We typically create the short titles for books with awkward titles and well-known popular 'short handles', but that's a subjective and sometimes personal distinction. There are also "Titles: Subtitles" and algorithmic shortening to abbreviation

You can add a Verse of the Day widget with the same content using this plugin: https://biblia.com/plugins You can also embed any Faithlife TV video (including the live stream of Bible Screen) by using the "Embed" option on the video page: https://faithlifetv.com/items/300027 If you add it to your site, please post a link here so we can see it in action

We are exploring this more. Print Bible publishing is more complex -- typically more complicated typesetting as well as specialized thin-paper printing and binding -- but we'd love to do it.

  • Re: What if??? Modern to ANE Atlas

I like this suggestion... in the meantime, you can right-click on a point on the map in Atlas and then choose "Open in Google Maps" and it should put a marker on the same lat/long position in a modern map.

  • Re: Calendar events in the mobile app

This is a 'Signal' from Proclaim; it means that at some point you chose to follow a church presentation, and when they are 'on air' in Proclaim, showing slides, you get announcements and Bible verses sent to your Logos/Faithlife Bible app when they are being shown on screen. You can use the Settings to go to Presentations and change which presentation

  • Re: convert word study translation ring into a table? (or charts)

Search for the word as a 'Bible' search, and then you can use the little graph icon in the toolbar to graph the results, or use "Analysis" in the upper-right of the results grid to see a tabular analysis. If you choose 'Print/Export' from the triple-dot menu in search results, you can send the results to Excel and manipulate them there as well.

I appreciate your desire to approach this ethically and live up to the terms you're agreeing to. For what it's worth, Faithlife is balancing two things: the need to have the 'legal cover' for an action we need to take, or might be obligated to take on behalf of a rights holder we've signed a contract with, and the need to continue our reputation for

We added a button to Faithlife's Messages feature that initiates a video chat (browser based, no download, no log-in) instantly, and pastes the URL into the chat. It supports screen sharing as well. https://faithlife.com/messages, and just pick the group (that you're a member of), and when you use the video button (right next to 'Send' in the place

  • Update from Bob Pritchett - Faithlife, COVID-19, etc.

It's nice to learn you had the right plan... but a pandemic isn't the way I'd have chosen to prove it! Our mission statement: We use technology to equip the Church to grow in the light of the Bible. Of course most of that mission statement isn't particularly unique: it's what churches do! But the past few weeks have shown everybody how the 'technology

So sorry to miss you! I had a 3:10 am flight (!) and so I left right after the event. And I didn't think anyone would be looking for me! I'm glad you were able to see the film, though, and that you were able to participate in the interviews. Thanks for using Logos for so long!

The few Lexham titles I just checked all had 'See Inside' functionality (on a button below the book cover). We've discussed getting full table of contents preview, even apart from 'See Inside', and this is

I started using Logos when I was in seminary (1992-1995). Thanks for sticking with us so long! I do get the point about a really small church -- at a certain size, you don't need many tools. And that's fine, and also why we're making so much of the Faithlife platform free, so small churches can use what's helpful without a big cost. A lot of the functionality
