• Re: Why you should not store ANY information in Logos

I'm sorry, Russ, that we're disappointing you with our continued use of the cloud. We kept this suggestion around for a while in case it turned out there was a widespread demand for avoiding the cloud, but it seems like the whole tech world is embracing the cloud, and that consumers are coming to appreciate the value and convenience. Like you, I'm an

  • Re: Please share with us what the hang up is on PPB to Mobile

If there was a simplistic answer, we'd share it. It is a complicated, muddy issue, though. - There are surprising technical difficulties: chief among them are that we don't do a local index on mobile devices. (Yet. And maybe never. But that's a whole technical problem itself.) So we have to search the whole catalog on the server, and that whole catalog

  • Re: Dear FaithLife: Is there a specific point person for Accessibility & Assistive Tech issues?

The person who was leading this is no longer at Faithlife. We do not yet have this assigned to someone else. For now, posting issues here in the forums is best. I'll talk with the team about getting accessibility improvements onto the release calendar.

  • Re: Thoughts after week two of the sermon editor

Thanks for the feedback Clint... please keep it coming! We're planning to improve integration of our media search results and the sermon editor, and to make it easier to build even more custom slides, as you describe, that mix text and art you find via our media search feature (or even on the web).

Your bulletin should be public by default, unless you've made your group secret. You can test it by opening the bulletin URL in a Private / Incognito window.
Bob, I appreciate all you do in this regard. One of the pain points I keep hearing (and I'm sure you do too) is the issue of "IF I stop Logos Now, I'll revert to Logos 4 or 5 or 6 (based on when I started)." Are there future plans to mitigate those concerns by introducing something like a rent-to-own aspect of Logos Now's non

  • Re: Suggestion: LOGOS EASY MODE

"Easy Mode" was a design trend in Windows apps in the late 90's. Menus were trimmed down and options were hidden unless you turned on 'Extended Menus' or something like that. Like all the attempts to make things easier (balloon help, tip of the day dialog boxes on startup, etc.) these things faded away because [my interpretation] they hurt more than
As I quoted in a previous response, 90% of Logos users utilize 10% of what Logos has to offer. That's about as poor a grade a company can get. And, that comes from Morris Proctor, "official Logos trainer". Or, maybe it came from Logos itself. Either way, it's not good
I use less than 10% of what Microsoft Outlook does, and
It's too bad they were hesitant to add full control.
It's not out of the question... here's my concern: experience (and observation) shows that when people are given 'structured' editors (driven by style sheets, with limited formatting options) they are annoyed, but generally use the structure. The team is working hard on this. We're really sorry. We had web site issues at previous releases, and tried hard to make sure that wouldn't happen this time, but the server load is crushing. In theory we could have scaled up our systems, but this is a 'once every couple years' problem, and the load doesn't just double, it increases by 20-40x normal
