That is the best course of action. But restart your Mac before you scan the folder (and restart Logos after issuing the scan command).
Well... the *best* course of action is a fix for whatever problem is causing this.

What I may do is bring my Logos4 folder from home and pull from that one, but this is my office computer and I didn't bother to keep a backup since it has a much faster connection so I had just planned to redownload and reindex Logos.

  • Trouble with clean install on Mavericks

I did a clean install of Mavericks a few days ago. Loaded most of my apps fine but I'm having trouble with Logos. I did a clean Mavericks install during seed testing and was able to load Logos at that time (though I think I had backed up my Application Support/Logos4 folder; this time, a completely clean install). The Logos 5 app installs (just tried

  • Re: OSX Mavericks - Logos 5

I've had no crashing or feature issues running Logos under Mavericks. Earlier on there was some trouble when exiting Logos but that has since been fixed. Performance, however, has been worse in my experience - scrolling in Logos under ML was fairly smooth while in Mavericks it's back to being pretty jumpy on my end.

  • OS X Mavericks

Good news, race fans. So far it appears Logos works fine in OS X Mavericks. I've not tried Logos extensively, but it works for the things I do most commonly.

  • Re: Frustrating 2 column pop ups

Actually, this also happens in portrait mode; just tried it out. Personally, I'm glad to learn this. I don't use the split screen much; too lazy to drag it out. But a quick way to pop it up strikes me as useful.

  • Re: Frustrating 2 column pop ups

I can replicate the single-tap-on-the-side issue; happens consistently with me. Latest iPad, latest Logos version, landscape mode, split on left or right side. A single tap on the extreme right or left (depending on the position of the split) of the screen will cause the split to pop out. I would guess this is a deliberate feature rather than a bug

  • Re: I want to deactivate 1 of my computers

Uninstall it and make sure the files have been removed. In general, it's best to completely reformat and reinstall a computer you're going to sell. Too many personal details have a way of lingering on the computer if you just try to remove this or that.
We will be upgrading our server capacity this week to prevent this type of situation.
...until the next time it happens, since it has happened before... Why not allow controlling over a local network? Completely eliminates the need to contact remote servers and improves performance. Having to go through Logos servers

But not in electronic format. As I understand it, for whatever reason, Banner of Truth is highly resistant to releasing any of their works in electronic format.

Others have looked into ways to creating this plan in Logos. Here is one way: http://wiki.logos.com/Reading_Plans#Horner_10_track_reading_plan_approximation You can find some other suggestions at http://community.logos.com/forums/p/21228/160027.aspx

  • Re: Server trouble?
Would this cause signals and the mobile app to not function? Is everything dependent on Proclaim's servers??
George, I think so, yes. Users following on mobile devices have to be able to connect to the server to get the presentation data. Cloud goes down, it all goes down.

iOS and Android versions of Logos don't have all the features of the desktop app.

V stands for Victory, pH stands for acidity. Steven was certainly victorious over those who sought to silence him. Acid had nothing to do with it.

  • Speaker Labels and Power Lookup

The recent Speaker Label Challenge piqued my curiosity as to who all was included in the quote from Acts 21:14. Feeling too lazy to hover over all the megaphones, I opened Power Lookup, expecting to see them included in that tool. No such luck - looks like Power Lookup does not include data from speaker labels? I can understand why they wouldn't be

That you have not seen the problem doesn't mean it does not exist. :) Since this has been reported by more than just me, it's not a unique issue even if it is uncommon.
The good thing about it is that it shows you what words actually appear in your library. This prevents you from wondering why the search failed to return any results. Also for Greek and Hebrew it is a huge time saver. But as David said, it is easily dismissed.
As I said, I never use it, it has no value for me. Easily
