• L5 Auto Suggest as annoying as ever

I hate auto suggest. It is my least favorite feature of Logos. It causes me the most annoyance. It makes me want to learn how to swear in Greek, Hebrew, _and_ Aramaic. I never use auto suggest, don't think I've ever found it remotely helpful. But it almost always gets in my way. I've mentioned before how annoying it is that the window sometimes pops
What are some examples of how L5 Mac falls "far" short of the PC version as far as UI?
I realized I overstated things in my initial response, but evidently I missed the removal of one of my superlatives. I should have said that it falls short, not far short. And the differences may simply be due to places where the

I think the appearance of L5 on the Mac still falls far short of L5 on PC, the same as L4 did, but L5 Mac is still a bit of a visual improvement over L4. It isn't a great improvement, but it's moving in the right direction. For instance, I like the places where the UI is brought more in line with the PC version (one place where I disagree with hardcore

To each his own, but how much time do you spend on the home page anyway? The left ribbon isn't taking away from resources and such since it goes away as soon as you start working. I'm not sure why the home page would need any work and was a little surprised Logos moved the ribbon to the left - simply because this meant a little more work on a part of

  • Re: Customized Passage Guides vs. Sermon Starter Guides

Once it's customized, it doesn't much matter which guide you started from. I almost always just use a customized guide which I've set to include results from several collections and I've removed several sections I never use.

Doc, As Andy said, this is speaker labels. You can turn it off by clicking the tripple circle thing at the top then uncheck speaker labels.
I don't see it. Please enlighten.
Okay, how about this. It is said that the antichrist will have a peculiar wound on the head. Is it any surprise that we are in a day when people get their thrills by posting very unusual pictures of heads displaying an odd variety of emotions? This sanitizes us to cranial distortions

I am really, REALLY disappointed that this thread even exists. *more* emoticons? Are you kidding me? Now we're bringing dancing bananas into it? I'm sure that proper Bible study will reveal that all this somehow plays into the hands of the antichrist.
The minimal crossgrades (both for 4 and 5) are about adding data sets and resources to Logos. It looks like the minimal crossgrade does include timelines. You should be able to get it via the Tools menu. Are you sure your software has updated? You might try typing Update now in the command bar, or Update resources then be sure to restart Logos once it has downloaded everything.
Sorry for your experience Sunday. We identified the problem as Richard mentioned above, and this should not happen again. Thanks for the fix. Are there any plans for an import/export feature in case things like this happen? Makes one a little skittish to have to rely on always available servers without a plan B just in case.

Seems to be working now, but there's no if about earlier - definite issues. Couldn't connect at church nor at home. One place is a PC on one ISP, the other is a Mac on a different ISP. Computer/ISP were not the issue.

A cautionary tale about the cloud. Service starts in 30 minutes, still unable to sync and get the presentation. I think I've seen others ask this, but is there a way to download the presentation from one computer to load on another? Not a perfect system, but a good backup in situations like this so the presentation I built doesn't just go out the window

  • Questions: save customization; slide time

Still adjusting to Proclaim. Up till now we've used the open source OpenSong, so this is a bit of a change. 1. When I have customized a slide, is there a way to save the customization to apply to other slides and/or use for new slides? Right now the best I can figure out is to duplicate the slide, but I'd rather be able to save my customization. I just

Starter won't include most of the datasets necessary to take advantage of most of the new L5 features. As for the crossgrade, it's impossible to know yet just how Logos will work that out. It sort of sounds like there may be multiple crossgrade versions depending on which datasets a user wants, though probably not completely customizable. If you go
