Why would Logos pull out the two of the most popular commentaries?
Because they have to negotiate with publishers and in this case the publishers apparently didn't want to be included in base packages. As Logos has noted before, they can sell lots more through the (relatively) cheaper base packages (where you get lots more

Well, I'm pretty sure I got the right preferences that time, but it still crashes. I found both a UserPreferences and a UserPreferences2 folder, both had a PreferencesManager.db file that had been modified today. I've got both attached along with the logs (preference files under preferences/up and preferences/up2 for userpreferences and userpreferences2

Was a bit concerned when I first saw this thread since I rarely use ratings but expect them to behave a certain way since I do have a few collections based on ratings. But I see that the library view displays community ratings different than personal ratings, and the collections rule only takes personal ratings into account, so I don't really have a

I'd say a fair number of the people on the forums are not pastors but laymen purchasing for their own study, and making use of many of the resources one might normally expect only pastors to find interesting. Martin, That's what I did (well, I deleted the preferences and relaunched). Tried it twice. The PreferencesManager.db should be in the zip file I attached earlier. I know it's the Logging folder, but out of laziness I put the preferences file in there with the logs for uploading.

Unfortunately, it is still crashing. I removed the preferences db, tried Logos 5 again, crashed again. I noticed the indexer was running, killed it, then removed the preferences again (db and journal), started Logos, crash. Logs attached. I've got the preferences db in there with the logs. 7433.Logging.zip

Type Update resources in the command bar at the top to make sure everything has downloaded. Then, before you go to bed you might type Rebuild index in the command bar. That should ensure everything is indexed properly. It can take a little while to run - especially with portfolio - so be sure to leave the computer running.
