What do you think George, is this construction unusual? Zerwik and a couple others seem to indicate the object is the genitive noun!! Also, what the heck a "walkabout?" Terry sDg

Your morph search worked... sorta. I got 7,00 hits- far too many to sift through. I'll play around with morph search and see if I can get fewer and more accurate results. Thanks Terry sDg
During the Accusative section ,the comment was made that the Greek accusative when used with transitive verbs take on an adverbial nature. Shouldn't that be accusative with intransitive verbs take on an adverbial nature?
" The adverbial accusative is really nothing more than a loose use of the accusative with

  • Re: Question about verbs and nouns

The Greek word ἐχάρησαν is the main verb in this clause. The verb is a 3rd person plural (they); the pronoun is more or less "built in." The Greek word translated "they saw" is ἰδόντες a plural aorist participle functioning adverbially- "they saw" or "having seen" is fairly close. I might English it: After having seen the star, they rejoiced.... Terry

OK, so, my original question remains: how do I determine those words in 2Timothy that are unique to 2Tim? Terry sDg

You got me, it wasn't my original question I thought I was asking about words occuring only in 3John but I worded it poorly. The same basic question in both was how do I do a search to determine words that occur only in 2Tim or 3John or Galatians or....? How did you determine there are 12 words unique to 2Tim? Terry sDg

I sent an email to a particular individual in the Logos sales force and have not gotten a response. So, I went to the website expecting to see something akin to a rolodex but no such thing exists. How then can I find out if this person is still working there, if they're ignoring me or perhaps they haven't gotten the email? I used to work with Jared

Attached is James chapter 5 composed in L3 but easily transfered to L4. The entire book of James is available here if you look for the various posts. Also available are Galatians, 1&2 Thess and Jude. James was surprisingly easy with much different Greek than Paul. Galatians and 1&2 Thess were at times difficult to the point of guessing while James,

Uh, good question........attached are the si Galatians files and I'm fairly certain 1&2 Thess is here on the forums. If not, I can post those as well. I just started tonight on 2John which I thought would be a fairly easy build but I'm already struggling with verses 1&2! Terry sDg 6138.Galatians 1.zip 0842.Galatians 2.zip 2844.Galatians 3-1-4-7.zip

There is a "send it now" feature but it only allows for files to be sent to email addresses. Perhaps I could send the zipfile to you and you could see if you have better luck posting here? Terry sDg

Charley, You always have the nicest things to say; they humble me. The Holy Spirit is working in a couple of different ways. He is working in me as I build the diagrams and he works in you as you study them! Then there's the Logos folks whom the Spirit used to provide these tools. To God be ALL the glory!
