• Why are many public doman books not available on iPhone/Mobile Web?

Shouldn't recent public domain books automatically flow to the iPhone? No rights are involved--what else can hold them up? These books are not available on the iPhone or mobile web: Bannerman, James. The Church of Christ Boyce, James Petigru. Abstract of Systematic Theology . Candlish, Robert S. Life in a Risen Saviour . Hengstenberg, E. W. Commentary

  • Re: word search in NASB95

Are you doing a case sensitive search in some cases and not in others? Uncheck Match case: If that's not it, is Logos still indexing?
The thing is, I thought the pause function and then turn off the computer meant that the next time the computer was on, it would index from where it left off.
Nope. Pausing leaves the program running but idle. Restarting the computer kills the index process forcing it to start over from scratch. You can hibernate or
2. Is it not possible to allow indexing to not only pause, but stop altogether so the computer can be turned off and indexing can start again where it left off?
No, there was much discussion about this in previous months. It would require that the indexer dump hundreads of megabytes of data to the disk to save its state
My dropdown only shows 'search fields' with nothing beneath it. My help > about says I'm using 4.0d. Also, in BDAG 'resource information' the section for search fields is blank.
Sounds like you've got either bad metadata for that resource or a corrupt resource file. I see all the info in my version:

  • Re: HDNT Bullets

I think it's a bug! The dots correspond to the dots that appear in the ESV Reverse Interlinear where there is no English word for a corresponding Greek word. They shouldn't show up in the HDNT. Which Logos version are you using? I see them in the 4.0d beta.

See this thread for a comment by Bradley: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/11685/91599.aspx#91599
The program contains a small, hard-coded list of resources that are (almost) exact duplicates of each other, and automatically hides (what we consider to be) the inferior copy (if the better copy is present).
Thanks! I had forgotten about that. I wish they would have just completely moved them into the hidden resources list for two reasons. One, they would show up in the hidden resources in case I thought they were misssing completly and secondly I don't want those type of resources in my searches!
Yes, I agree.
The LCV is a very specialized feature, at this point limited to only a few dictionaries. It's a rather involved project that does not just require adding tagging to the resource but integration of the resource's headings into the vocabulary. I think this may be a case of (rather generic) pre-Logos4 copy, but, now that

The Regional and Language Options control panel gives you some flexibility in changing the key sequence: The default can be changed to Ctrl+Shift instead of Alt+Shift. Plus you can assign a key sequence to each specific keyboard.

Unlike others, this is my biggest disappointment with Logos4. In addition to the dictionaries yet to be tagged, the LCV excludes historical terms, theological terms, personal names, and other technical terms, which means that my historical, theological, and biographical dictionaries are excluded
