Eddie, The downloads for updating Logos 4.0b to Logos 4.0c were substantial. 4.0c was released over a week ago. Perhaps you are just now updating to this version?

Chuck, I'm only guessing but it seems that there was an update to the Windows .NET in the latest update which has caused trouble for at least on other person who is using XP. Check this thread: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/18201.aspx
I am running Windows XP and I just tried bring Logos up offline and it comes up just fine....
Interesting that it works offline but not online. The work-around would seem to be to do the system restore again then custom install the Microsoft updates omitting the .NET one.

Nancy, Do you know anyone else in the church using Logos besides the staff? Since you have some time before the proposal is due, you might see if you can get a few of them together and discuss how they use Logos, their needs in that regard and whether they'd find a user group would interest them. Maybe just a note on a bulletin board (if you have those

This question has been asked on the Windows side a few times. True, a hover will tell you the story, but I've advocated for a little label below the graph to make everything immediately clear. Not sure why that hasn't been done but its standard practice when presenting graphical data to label the chart. Maybe the Mac developers could be first to do

If you don't get an answer here try the Mac forum. I know there are some people running under Parallels who could give you the answer, but they may all hang out there.
Why the change? Or is it a bug?
Good catch. Perhaps to shorten the abbreviation on the resource pane tab? To give it a three letter short title like many of the others Bible versions? We'll have to hear from Logos. You can, of course, change the short title back to NASB95 if you wish.
Does Logos offer a balanced theological menu or is the balance weighed heavily in the TULIP direction?
I can't speak for Logos but you are right about the mass of new Reformed-oriented material being published in Logos format. Having been a Logos customer for many years I would have to say this is all rather recent

When I repeat your example from Genesis 1:10 I do get HALOT showing up. I also get my lexicons listed in the order in which they are prioritized. I'm not sure why you aren't getting the same result.

Murray, I have this. It came with the Logos 4 upgrade to my Scholar's Gold. The comparison chart shows it being included in all the collections except the Christian Home Library. You should have it if you have an updated collection. I cannot find it for sale individually on the Logos web site.

Sam, First this seems like a thought question rather than a research question so I'll approach it that way. Clearly in this case 'hear' does not give the full sense of the word. It must be assumed that Israel 'heard' the commandments or the entire sentence would make little sense. So we have to look for a second meaning of the word. In this case the

Leigh, you must be using the 4.0d beta. This isn't yet available in the release version. It is a nice feature, but folks with 4.0c will have to wait a bit for it.

The gray bars mark places you visited recently in the Bible. So if you were just in John 1 and then went to Genesis 39 and then went back to Acts 17 you'd see gray lines at the places you visited. Hover your mouse over them and a snippet of the scripture pops up. Don't ask me how persistent they are, I don't know. I was annoyed by them and was one of

Sorry. I didn't read your question correctly. MJ gave the right answer to the right question.

Mark: Navigate to: C:\Users\{your user name}\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\{random string}\DownloadManager and delete what you find (this is in Windows 7, similar in XP or Vista). Then try again.

Brad, Go online to the Logos web site and log into your account. At the bottom of that page you should see you Libronix Customer ID. I don't think you actually need this for Logos 4, but I believe you should have something listed there regardless. Look under the 'Order History' tab and see if your order is listed (it should be). Let us know what you

Tim, The Information window is set to return just one piece of information of each type that you have selected under Settings. So for a Greek word you'll only get one Greek lexicon showing. 'Other resources' will show as available. You may get none. So Power Lookup is the way to go to get a lot more information.
Do I need to install this Libronix thing?
No you don't. Libronix is the older Logos 3. You can install it, but you don't need to do so. Once Logos 4 is installed (as long as it installs properly) and you log on, you should notice the two arrows in the upper RH corner circling around. This means Logos 4 is trying to
