  • Set highlight styles for particular words in Isaiah

In August, my through-the-Bible-in-365-days took me to Isaiah. Using an old study I had done on this book, I used a different highlighting style to mark 14 key words/phrases. For instance, "Judah" and "Israel" are marked throughout the book with a brown underline. I know for certain that I did not read the whole book with these 14 words/phrases in mind

When you're right, you're right. And it didn't even take a screenshot! Thanks again Pat

  • Notes by Reference

Some while back, Graham Criddle and Disciple of Christ helped me use Note by Reference to get a particular note in all my Bibles, without having to go to each Bible and add the note. I just used those instructions again and discovered that the note is in almost all my Bibles. Out of 26 Bibles, the note is missing only in the ESV and the NKJV. (NOTE

Thanks for the info, Graham. I already have the one on Jonah and didn't know about the other. It sounds like the very thing I need. I get some info from the forums (I save every link so I can go over them when I have the time). But working with them is like being dropped into the middle of a foreign language class several months after it started. In

I appreciate the effort everyone is going to here. But, in the first place, I'm in the middle of an ongoing subject. Also, I will read a statement about how something works, only to read later that that statement was incorrect. And, in a discussion of a particular subject, a second aspect will be thrown in with a new discussion. I feel like I'm learning

Thanks Graham for the info and thanks David for the screen shot. Everything fell into place.

  • Having a Note Document show up in all my Bibles

I have added a Note Document to the current Bible I am using. But I also use other Bibles. I'd like this perfectly good Note Document to show up in any Bible I am using. I thought Visual Filters would allow me to turn the Note "on" in whatever Bible I was using so I tried to find place in a Context Menu that would allow me to "Save as Visual Filter

Thanks for the two replies and you're both right. I have a Smartphone and you just pull the little gray dot up from the bottom right.

  • How to create a Split screen on Smartphone

I was reading a Logos book on Mid-Eastern culture when I did SOMETHING to place my book on the top of the screen and a Bible on the bottom. I came to the forum and discovered how to get back to just one screen. (Thank You!). But this would be a good feature for other books I read. I just don't know what I did to create the split screen. What steps do

Thanks, Graham for all your responses. I don't subscribe to Now or Cloud and hadn't seen or heard in the tutorial that that was a requirement. If I understand correctly, it sounds like it's been added to what I do have. But I'm in software support and in my world, you don't believe it until you see it. Again, thanks

I had neither Now or Cloud so that explains why it wasn't working. This is not the first time I've spent time trying to make a feature work (and dragging others in with me) only to discover it requires features I don't have. I'm glad it's been added so I can use it (I think that's what's been said, although I haven't tried it yet). Thanks for your help

  • Re: Fuzzy Search

Just as I posted my reply to you, I noticed that your ScreenShot has the word FUZZY BIBLE SEARCH. You will notice in the ScreenShot I just sent you that those words are missing on my search, although you can see the NET Bible listed with no returns.

I had not caught earlier that the search would use my primary Bible but I didn't care what Bible it used or if it even listed the verse itself. I just wanted the reference. The NET Bible says (without quotes) "sin that clings so closely" Following your suggestion, I'm attaching a ScreenShot. Thanks for your assistance . 1067.Fuzzy.docx

  • Re: Fuzzy Search

I think you are saying that if my search uses the options Basic and Everything, that my search words (not including the quote marks) "sin that so easily besets us" should give me Hebrews 12:1 even though the NET Bible has "sin that clings so closely" in its translation. Graham had suggested that I send a screen shot. I'm sure I'm leaving off something

Thanks for your prompt reply. This is something I usually have to wait and do on weekends so that's why I'm so late responding. I did not notice, until it was brought to my attention, that the search results only use your preferred Bible (as clearly stated in the tutorial). In the NET Bible I've been using this year, there is no form of the word "beset

I was happy to see a video tutorial on Fuzzy Searches. At https://soundfaith.com/logos-media/920533-4895874-- it said to click on Search in upper left. Select Basic and to search Everything . Using your best guess about the wording, put in the verse you are hunting for with the words you remember. Or put in key words from the verse. I was hunting for

I had family coming in town for Easter and a visit for several days afterwards. I really didn't try to follow the sense of the steps--I just followed the steps. Once things calm down, I want to go over exactly what I did and things will probably fall into place. Certainly the steps you had me take worked (thanks again) so I suspect they will make sense

Thanks, Graham. I have the same message for you and for Brian. I did it, but I don't know how. I followed your examples but don't really understand what I did. We seemed to do this and then went off and did that. But I'll study it until it I understand the flow. First, I guess I need to understand Visual Filters better. Looking at the examples, it certainly
