• Search Everything: “Library Resources” is confusing

I had to look up the help to understand why the “Library Resources” section of a search everything result showed no results and how it differed from “Library Results”. I think that it should be renamed because it is not actually searching library resources but titles, authors and descriptions. On an ancillary note: why are library

  • Triggering a Factbook or Topic Guide Query

I keep thinking that if I select something, eg. “Councils of Carthage” that I should be able to trigger either a Factbook or Topic Guide query. Selecting a single word offers 6 possibilities in the context menu. Selecting more than one word offers only wikipedia. Strange that I am basically sent outside of my library. I remember raising

  • Query about Confessional Cross-References

The Systematic Theologies dataset provides references according to Patristics and Medieval. The Confessional dataset does not. It provides a very limited “ecumenical” section. Why is there not a section for early church and medieval? Ad exemplum, to find a reference to Matthew 16:17 at the Second Council at Orange in 529, I have to look

  • Factbook Search Bug (?)

At the bottom of a Factbook panel for Notable People, I am offered an opportunity to search for “ Name Here ” (eg. “Martin Luther”) what is triggered is an Everything Search for <Biography Martin Luther>. Unsurprisingly, I don’t get many results. If I look at “Jerusalem”, I am offered five articles. I

"Francis of Assisi" from 131CESK lists the ODCC as a parallel resource, even

Strange indeed. I assume that the other dataset files are in that folder. eg. biblicalpeople. I'm going to try update resources - the file seems too small to me. If I delete this one file, will another download on update?

Strangely, a couple of them trigger the people format of the factbook (Athansius and John Chrysostom) - others do not - Dominic, Zwingli, Calvin, Bede (not sure why the base form shows
Factbook links in the Dictionaries section are curated
That explains another question I had. Keep up the good work on this one. This is valuable "extra effort"
perhaps at the cost of some false positives
I had the same thought as Martha when I read this. I'm only seeing false negatives

Sean, I still don't really understand how the links on the right side of historic figures are triggered. I just did a zwingli topic layout and get, the Ocford Dictionary of the Christian Church, followed by vol 50 of the Churchman, vol 93 of Bibliotecha Sacra, issue 81 of Christian History Magazine (really strange - why an article from an issue of John
For people from Christian history (different from biblical people), this information is in the Notable People Dataset . We haven't published the dataset documentation for this yet (it's coming), but this dataset includes attributes like the dates they lived, their roles, and quotations: it also connects them to works in Logos

  • Re: Confused with Home Page Topic Layout
The "Baptism of the Spirit" layout has a Bible open to the first reference in "Related verses" but since there are no related verses for St Francis that pane isn't used in that layout. And that means that the dictionary entry fills the entire right side of the layout. So they seem to be as equivalent as the underlying data
