• Re: Missing Resources

Jason, The "synchronization is enabled, all items are up to date" message does not refer to resources. It refers to layouts, notes, tags and ratings (and so on). You possibly need to still wait for the download of all your new resources. Do try typing "update now" into the command bar to download new / updated resources.
Damian, thanks for the answers...
Russ, you're welcome. Just as Bob took seriously your questions, so did I. They are legitimate concerns and deserve answers (see also Dave Hooton's reply above). Be assured, that in Beta testing, many questions were posed and many challenges thrown down and Bob responded graciously
1. If I have bought any pre-pubs that are in a version of Logos 4 that I upgrade to, do I need to cancel the order? Have they been pulled out of Pre-pubs? Or are there no book in pre-pub that are in an upgraded package? I sure don't want to buy something twice! 2. I use JFTP to sync my system with any new resources added to

Since I don't have the space on my current laptop for my quickly expanding library, I will install it on my Vista machine that has two huge empty hard drives. Do I need to install version 3 to the new machine first? Will I eed to install all the third party (eBible, Fortress

Martha, Hidden resources will only be truly hidden once all indexing is finished.... As for the Library pane - right-click on the icon (for various options) or use ctrl-L (new window). The right click thing was my idea :)

The command "Update Now" is your friend. Your program will only check once every 24 hours for an update. But you can manually check. I've just done it and am now downloading
Yes Thomas this is possible. Copy the folder. And
Yes, I know it saves support costs. What's the human cost of saving support costs, though? The journey might be sweet, but the destination might really not be where you want to be.
There may be a reduction in the number of support staff answering queries about lost license keys. The money will be used to employ more
Logos 4 is HERE!
Joe, just started reading your post and noticed that you say that the Mac is in "Beta Development..." I suppose that may be comprehensible to some nut it's not really correct - currently it's a pre-Alpha release. I'd hate people to think that it was closer than it is...

Jacob, That would be helpful. I did it the manual way - screen captures, highlight new resources, check against my library. Looks like this:

  • Re: Navigating the Library

You can easily add tags or ratings to (or clear the same from) multiple books at the same time by hitting the "i" button while multiple books are selected. I searched my library for "title:semeia", hit ctrl+A to select all the books, hit the "i" button, and was presented with a pane in which I could add the tag "journal" to these resources.

  • Re: Navigating the Library

While searching your library is as easy as typing a word in the navigation box, it's sometimes quicker to limit your search using "author:" "title:" "mytag:" "series:" "rating:" (eg. rating:>=2); "type:" (eg. type:commentary)

A right click on the column names at the top allows you to chose what information you see. You can easily rearrange these columns by dragging them to a different position:
