Tonya, It appears to me to have something to do with the handout feature that was in Windows when I used it (since the folder for handouts continues to return when I start Logos and it begins to sync). However, being on Mac exclusively now, there is no way I can go in and delete the handout from the file menu like those on Windows. Is there a way that

Alabama, For the past few years I have only used Mac, however I was at one time using Windows (although I don't think I ever used the handouts). I tried reinstalling from a direct download. Tried to start, got to the same synchronization point and crash. Tried starting using the start now button instead of waiting, it brought up my layouts but almost

Randy, I had Logos open in offline mode. I closed Logos. I went to Handout folder (was in my library/application support/Logos4/Documents/bxz38plo.n7w/Documents). I deleted the folder. I went to Logos and tried to start it. It got to the synchronization step and crashed (before it opened). I got the logs and went back Logos and started it in offline

  • Crash on beta 3

Anytime I try and start up after the upgrade It will sign in, but when it starts to synchronize it crashes. It will start and I can use it fine in offline mode. In the crash file it says: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation. I have no idea what that means but it has been the common thread through all the crash reports. Here is the

I am sorry, I thought I had made the change in the program to use the stable version and not the beta, but apparently had not done so. This is taking place using 4.6a beta 3.

  • crash after update today

This morning I started Logos and got an update (resources I believe, but didn't pay close enough attention). After downloading, it closed down then when I clicked on the restart, it crashed. I tried to open it to a blank layout, but that did not work. I was able to open it using work offline. Then tried a normal restart and crashed again. Here are the

Tonya, Thank you for the information. I will try the blank line next time (sounds much easier than how I finally accomplished it). I look forward to seeing the cross-platform rich text editor and how it works (and I know there will be a way to convert the note files we presently have).

Hi Graham, It is very similar but it sounded like in the previous one the entire note disappeared while with mine only the added portion disappeared. The rest of the note remained. Also that one discussed it from a copy and paste situation while mine did not have any copy and paste. I am running 4.5c RC 1 version.

  • note bug?

In a note file I created, I had some material then had a numbered list. Later I tried to add information after the numbered list. When I would come back to the note (after quitting the program), the information added after the numbered list had disappeared (did this three different times and two of the times I know I clicked on the sync icon prior to

Ann, I turned on Diagnostic Logging by using terminal and checked that it was on (using: defaults read com.logos.Logos_Bible_Software_4 LoggingEnabled , and got a 1 value showing Logging is on). I then quit Logos (command-q) and it immediately went to the problem report. I checked to see if the Crash log, Error log and Console message were in the Logging

Ann, maybe I should have posted a little more of an explanation. Mine is not the endless synch problem but going directly to the OSX problem report (does this every time I close the program---command-q). Here are the logs but there was only the log file in it (I made sure logging was enabled) but no crash file. I also have a screen recording that I

Ann, This problem continues under Beta 3. While more of a pain, it will be nice to be rid of it. :)

Sorry Jack. I should have used the term "selection" instead of "headword." My mistake.

  • Crash on search Beta 2

I was in a Bible (KJV) and clicked on a word, clicked the word as a headword and started a search. The program immediately crashed. Here are the logs. They should also show that every time I close the program (command-q) the program will crash and give me the OSX error message. (Interesting thing is that with the crash that did not happen.) 5008.Logging

I went ahead and started Logos (through the screen sharing program) then closed it using command-Q. The windows disappeared, but the sync button did not appear and instead it went directly to the OSV problem report. I am including the logs and hope they will help. 07214.Logging.zip

I also use the command-Q to end the program. It would give me the sync message then very quickly quit with the OSX problem report. Yesterday prior to leaving for the day, I did the command-Q to end Logos and got the sync message. This time instead of going to the OSX problem report it continued on with the sync message. I left the office. This morning
If you unhide the NKJV, L4 should download a fresh copy next time you restart.
Thanks Jack, I was thinking that was the case, but was not positive. I will do that tomorrow.
