I just discovered that a friend has an old copy of LOGOS still in its original box. Is it better for him to install the boxed set and then upgrade to the new free upgrade or to install the free version first and then install the contents of the box on top of the new version. NOTE: I have not seen the box, but I am assuming it has never been installed

I see that the OP was able to solve their problem using the advice given. For completeness, in case somebody stumbles upon this thread in the future, let me add that I had to call Customer Service to get my free course.

Any word when this series will become available in LOGOS? It would seem easy to convert to a set of initial ebooks before converting to LOGOS products. 0:8398 Classic Sermons on Angels Not Started 0:8399 Classic Sermons on the Apostle Paul Not Started 0:8400 Classic Sermons on the Apostle Peter Not Started 0:8401 Classic Sermons on the Attributes of
Perhaps you should add a suggestion at feedback@faithlife.com so this can be voted on.
I tried using this site for something else earlier this week, but could not find the suggestion I wanted to vote on or how to see what suggestions were active at all. I also did a search on Google for similar ideas being posted

I know that many complain about bundles, but it would seem to me that one handy way to use bundles would be to create bundles based on the MobileEd courses. By putting all the required books for a course and then adding Dynamic Pricing, users could pick up their required missing books with a single purchase rather than making a bunch of individual purchases
I'm sorry, but this is beneath the integrity which Logos should be showing. They've taken the Free Book of the Month which has been available since Dec 1 and now sent out an email proclaiming this as a free Christmas Book. It's deceptive and frankly, made me upset when I clicked on the link to only find that it's the regular

Can I search a collection like I can the library? Can I search for a particular title, or author, or series?
Yes. First Filter library for the collection and then you can search for title, or author, or series as you would normally.
Thanks, Dave, that is what I was looking for

Can I search a collection like I can the library? Can I search for a particular title, or author, or series? Can I limit my search to a subset of my collection without creating a new collection?
FWIW All the titles that are in the "Monograph" or "Bible Commentary" category were Word Search import and haven't had their classifications updated yet.
That makes sense - maybe we can get some consistency as we move forward.

OT - Interesting. I have been saying something similar about healthcare. There are doctors who want to practice medicine; and there are those who want to care for patients. Sound parallel to LOGOS vs WordSearch?
The Wesley Study Bible is categorized under Bible commentary. (As a side note, the NET Bible Notes are categorized under Bible notes. Does it make sense to have it categorized under study Bible?
See this thread from earlier this AM: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/196572.aspx
quote user="Kyle G. Anderson" Repurposed. Notes will remain a resource type. We have about 50 titles that fall somewhere between a Study Bible and a Commentary and will remain as "Notes".
I did not see any labeled "notes", but I may not have dug far enough.
-
I am curious as how and why different Study Bible notes are typed. They have several different types assigned: Monograph Bible Commentary Study Bible Most are "Study Bible", but there are some given the other types. I only searched the types of those in which the words "Study Bible" were included in the name - there may others that should be looked

Ask about "Features only" upgrade. No new books, but might be cheaper.

FWIW, it's a brand tie-in with all the Faithlife products that have (green) tricolor bands. I'll pass this feedback along.
Thank you! No need to redo it--just having the old one back would be great :)
Return your LOGOS 9 package and can keep the LOGOS 8 Icon.
