This is a very helpful thread. Question: Mark or Dave, can you give me any hints why "The Cosmopolitan World of Jesus: New Light from Archeology" does NOT show up in my resulting collection? (David, I've copied Mark's longer string into the "Start with" window). Thanks so much Steve F OK I've got it -- the difference is between the "USA" spelling and

  • Re: Programming efficiency

someone needs to recheck the code and find out where this went wrong. What feature was added that slowed things down so much? Was it worth it? Is there a better way to do it? Is Hyperthreading being utilized? These are just questions that run through my mind. I share your pain. These concerns have existed since beta. BUT they do NOT appear to be consistent

that some resources that are availble in RA but absent in the latest release. One example is the Be series (Be Strong, Be Available, ect.) If you have already purchased these "Be" volumes, you will NOT lose them by "moving up" to Platinum. Except for individual Interlinears (which are accessed differently in Logos 4) you keep ALL of your Scholars Library

Dear Karen: Thank you so much for posting! I also used your Dad's book as a text in Bible College (somewhere during 1969-1973). It was very helpful. I too, still have my paper copy and really appreciate (now) having this pdf (but just between you and me, a pdf pales in light of Logos :) ) All the best Steve Filyer

Joe, thanks for the very prompt and helpful reply! So my comment about "ethics' still stands? Sounds like "someone" surely did not take the course... (And no, I don't want "Bob" ripped off either). And as, like you,, I still am very "protective" towards "my" settings.. So...Logos no longer gets any free "advertising" anymore (from me showing it to a

what he's asking Dear Jeffrey Glen Jackson: Welcome to the forums! Just a very friendly hint: Our friend "M.J." is not a "him." But she is a good sport and has shared many, many original PBB creations with us. Currently they only work in Libronix 3 (and are available in the L3 "file" forum.) If you have a base collection, I believe it will contain a

  • Re: Licencing: Per-user or per-machine?

Logos4 cannot be installed to \program files... Joe, am I right that because of the above requirement there is now no way for a "Guest" user account on a computer to even access L4 (or to even know that it is on the computer?) It used to be handy to allow someone (on a guest account log-in) to occasionally "look at" L3 for "one-time-use" of L3 for a

  • Re: Double upgrade- What about 1st UG DVD?

It depends on whether they are sending you another DVD. The DVD is identical for the Gold and Platinim. Your license determines what will be unlocked. Again, if this is the only DVD you have, keep it in case of a future install. It will save hours and many Gigs of download time, and maybe money if your dowmloads are 'metered." If you end up with 2 of

Once they have been created and saved they should be allowed to safely live in their drawer/drop down until right clicked on and deleted. I too have "lost" more than one - one "wrong" minor change as you try to understand or experiment with this esoteric syntax and you are...(fill in your own word). With all due respect to the "keeners" here - these

Whyndell (Greetings from a former News Groupie) You have the latest Release version (sr7 etc) but Logos is already beta testing the next version. they are calling it 4.0a and have now released both Beta 1 & Beta 2 for it. As I have not yet downloaded either of them, I have no idea as to their time-frames but someone has hinted they will certainly need

  • Re: Resource syncing

(syncing) is only for all the background things like layouts, et - the above statement is correct, AFAIK "syncing" though, will NOT, in any way update resources, etc. In this case it is an unfortunate word to choose, as so many of us do use various "sync" programs to correlate files between folders. Every once in a while Logos "re-invents" meanings

(I'm not even sure how I got some of those!) Richard, did you perhaps buy the last Christmas BookBuilder volumes? That is how I received the Lloyd-Jones Acts volumes. Like you, my Upgrade does not take into consideration any of these "extra" purchases both from Logos "Book-Builders", or stand alone purchases, let alone items from official re-sellers

For "MJ" and Jeremiah: Yes, Some of us have consistently noticed that (for us) the scroll bar is very, very, very sluggish. Tugging, clicking at it results in delays of seconds and results finally in 'jumps." It definitely is NOT smmooooth. There is NO comparison to the scroll bar on my L3.. There may be many reasons...all I can judge by is what I see
