• Re: Indexer gives up at 38%

Tried again to Rebuid Index: hover over the Indexer icon suggested it was well over 40% but that is not what the log is saying. Seems to be running cool. Says it is running out of space which is not true on the drive opn which it is running, it has over 56GB Free Space (drive C: has 222GB Free Space, not sure why it thinks it is running out of space

Hi Bradley: The system is an HP desktop and was returned from our local computer shop just a few weeks ago (September) after some maintenance which included a new power supply and thorough internal cleaning. It passed the built in monthly HP hardware testing package on October 31 with no hardware errors identified (everything passed during those extensive

  • Re: Logos 6 Wrong Choice

If all you want are the new base package resources and related bundles and discounted resources without the features of Logos 6 (ie: you want to stick with Logos 5.2b SR-7 and that home page layout) then all you need to do is get yourself a computer with Windows Vista as the operating system......

There are now TWO reasons for seperate fora: A Catholic forum for discussion of available resources and packages in the same manner as other tradition specific fora which have appeared over the last few years A Verbum forum for discussion on Verbum specific software and user interface issues as Verbum is now a seperate software download (albeit having

  • Indexer gives up at 38%

First time indexing following the massive file updates of last week (Windows Vista machine so still working with Logos 5.2b SR-7 (5.2.2.1584). Had deleted the Library Index folder just prior to this indexing as without that it seemed unable to get past 1% on repeated attempts: This time it got to 38.6% and gave up.... • Re: Crazy Deals!

If you are technically disqualified, you might try calling a Sales rep to return one of your denominational base packages then buy it again, this time with your selected additional resources in your cart?

  • Re: Logos 6 Install failure

Had a very similar problem yesterday: the issue for me was that some unrelated software had updated itself and expected a system restart. Windows apparently knew a restart was needed and would not install the Net framework upgrade. Restarting the computer cleared the problem.

  • Re: BUG?: Baptist Studies Bundle

Seems to be quite common: most likely reason is that the "new to you" resources are the same for each but you get a higher discount with the larger the bundle.

Another issue last night was that the new Logos 6 Master Bundle did not show dynamic pricing: I guess we will just have to wait until they get things sorted out.....
Can you give a couple examples? I'm always lurking or posting on the cp closing threads... I can't think of a single one where that happened. Doesn't mean it didn't, I just can't think of one :)
Difficult to give examples given the records tend to disappear at closing, however the following threads give a flavor
David, I believe you are correct on this. Furthermore, if you are, then there is a marketing reason to not lower your bid. The problem with lowering the bids is one of perception. Imagine Joe Logos User seeing this thread and taking a peek at the community pricing page for the first time. If the curve drops below the line
1) By the way if people do change their bids- the $48 line moves up, just like the $84 line- 2) and yes it will take longer to go into production and so what if it does.
1) Incorrect: if you change your bid from $96 to $48 the $96 drops but the $48 stays at exactly the same place: - the system is that a bid
Whyndell's theory is that if we can get a goodly percent (2-3% by dead reckoning) of those 25 people to lower their bid, production will be canceled giving us more time to get the product over the line at the lower rate. In a sense we would be gaming the system.
Hate to disappoint, but while it appears to have happened

  • Re: Romans Classic Update closing

There is always the temptation to nickle and dime a Classic collection like this. But the best time to help set where the peak crosses the line is BEFORE it gets to 100%. After that it depends on teh risk takers who are willing to miss out or have the time to wait until the last minute to raise their bids a minute before closing (assuming not problems

  • Re: Romans Classic Update closing
LOWER your bids to $48 or less- this collection is only worth approx 1.50 per book.
At the current price, it would go for $2.62 per book. The only way for it to go lower is for all the people who do NOT think the collection is worth an average of $2.62 to actually place a bid for what they thiink it IS worth

  • Re: Do you miss out on a particular resource if you only buy a bundle prepub?

If you click on the smaller collections and individual titles, you would probably get them individually as they ship and that may be before the entire bundle gets 100% subscription depending how it is recieved overall. If the overall bundle eventually shipped you would get credit for the titles you already had, but NOT according to what you paid, but

Not immediately obvious from the product page: suggested strategy: bid on this in CP at the current $8 to ensure you opt "in" (it will likely go for $7 or lower but better to risk the extra $1 than miss out) review in detail what you already have in NPNF re Ephrem wait until the new title is released and you get your copy put priority on reviewing the
