  • Re: Macbook for Logos

I have a 2015 13" MacBook Pro, that, for the majority of the time I've had it, has had 8gb RAM and a 128GB SSD, and everything ran fine. For reasons directly related to the size of Logos, I upgraded to a 480gb SSD recently, and Logos still runs great. For a MacBook Pro, you want a minimum of 8GB RAM with a 256GB SSD, especially now that the newer MBP

I used to use Logos quite often offline due to lack of internet where I live, so I don't wouldn't know why it's not letting you log on...

  • Re: What makes Logos work faster?

I used to only have a 128gb ssd with my os and Logos running on it just fine. It's space management. However, when upgrading, SSD's are much more affordable now, especially for those for computers running Windows.

[quote user="Jeremiah"] [quote user="Jerry Bush"] Thanks for the heads-up, Mark. I have had this on my wishlist for some time but never pulled the trigger. I am a pastor without the benefit of a theological education so I am not sure if this set would be of use to me. Do you have an opinion on it? I cannot read Greek or Hebrew so would this commentary

  • Mentions of a subject

How would I best go about searching a particular grouping of books for a particular subject? Like searching Luke, Acts, and Hebrews for Angels? I know about manipulating the search tool, I'm just wondering if there is a more efficient and accurate way of doing so. Thank you!

  • Re: doctoral programs

I have been accepted into the Doctor of Educational Ministry program at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, but won't be starting officially until next year. I applied early for lower tuition and I had a chance to apply for free. It's a four-year program there, and I'm still waiting to receive the specifics on how it all works.

I knew about the 9 and 12 hour requirements for graduate and undergraduate work, respectively, however I've never seen anything listed anywhere for doctoral work.

This isn't directly Logos related, but does anyone know how many credit hours is considered full time in a doctoral program?

While I've never tried using Logos over a remote connection app, connecting to your home computer, but I can only imagine it wouldn't run that well. I agree that the best way would be the web-based application. While it does require internet, you can do almost everything you can with the full desktop application. The iOS/Android versions of Logos are

Bob, I enjoy your transparency with everything y'all do at Faithlife. However, most of the newer changes for the church I pastor, which is small (50-70 on Sunday Mornings) are a moot point for us, because our internet service where we live is almost non-existent (satellite internet, which really cannot fall under the realm of "high speed" as it claims

As someone who has limited access to internet capable of streaming videos, I heavily rely on the forums for figuring out different aspects of Logos Bible Software. Most of my questions I am able to search and find answers to, or answers that lead me in the right direction. And those answers that I cannot find are answered very quickly in the forums

Is there a tool or a way to search within Logos to figure out what doctrine or doctrines a passage may be talking about or referencing?
