Glad you got Personal Books running, it's a nice resource. I think Philippiens will work in Mac. I have a Mac version and I checked it (but not too closely), there may be some weird formatting from time to time... I'm almost finished with 1,2,3 Jean and now working on Romains by Prof. Utley John

I do not feel free to do that since I am replicating Prof. Bob Utley's work. The way I understand it, he hires people to translate for him, so depending upon the translator (and his precision) I suppose it is no surprise that there are mistakes that need to be corrected. I tried to stay as close to what is posted on his website as I could given the

  • PBB Question - [[@Bible: ref]]

Does anyone know why when I build my PBB the Bible milestone sometimes builds correctly (and does not show in the Logos resource); sometimes builds incorrectly (example [[@Bible:philippians 1.2]] gets built as [[@philippians 1.2]]) or builds correctly [[@bible:philippians 1.2]], but the milestone string shows in the Logos resource. Thanks for any advice

  • Re: Does "Search All" [Specific] Highlighting Run Any Faster Now?

Yeah, I suppose that is the best way. I was hoping there was a way to do it with highlighting because it stays right IN the Bible. I could have different highlights for favorites, promises, questions, commands, stuff like that. If I start a passage list for all these different things, it soon becomes unwieldy, but if I can mark them in the text and

Well, I did the search and quit after 8 to 10 minutes with it still "searching." MacBook Pro 1.8 GHz, 4 Gigs Ram. What I REALLY want to do is - for instance - maybe highlight every favorite bible verse with a specific highlight. Then do a quick search that will return all my favorite bible verses. Is there a better way to do this?

  • Does "Search All" [Specific] Highlighting Run Any Faster Now?

Hi everyone: I'm trying to Search All highlights in a specific resource (in this case God Revelation and Authority by Carl Henry). I select [Blue Highlight] as the search field and then in the search box (Basic Search) just used a wildcard *. The search should return perhaps 50 to 80 hits (proper names that Henry refers to). When I run this search it

  • Re: HALOT vs. A Concise HALOT? Analytical Key to the OT?

I own HALOT and if I were you I would get CHALOT. HALOT is obviously a great resource, but it's too much information most of the time, and I find that what it does give me is not generally what I'm looking for unless I'm into a deep word study. HALOT generally has little else besides, a definition, references, and the Hebrew context. This is great if

  • Re: predefined M'Cheyne reading plan

Hmm...scratch that. It appears that Mr. McCheyne did not want his plan spread out over two years!

Yes. Under File | Reading Plan, after you select the Bible, then select McCheyne reading plan (It's under the "All Passages" drop down). Under "finishing in" you can either select "weeks" and make it 104 (two years) or select the calendar and make the end of the reading plan 2 years down the road.

Hi David: The benefits of Camp Logos are many. I think the main one being that it allows you to quickly get a broad grasp on all that Logos can do which lays a foundation for you to go as deep as you want. I went to Camp Logos a few years back and came home and found out that I understood the program better than my pastor who had been using it for several

I'll add my thanks, Mark. I've watched almost every one of your videos (think I have 2 to go) and every one has changed the way I use Logos in some fashion. Thanks for putting in the time to do them! John

One way of quickly expanding one resource for reading in Logos is to press Shift + CMD + F. Whatever resource you are in expands to take up the entire computer screen for reading. Press ESC and you're back to your original layout.

  • Re: search notes without scrolling?

The notes function is pretty much unusable right now when attached to the reference. I started using them but it's just too much of a pain to have to scroll to where the note is to begin typing. Hopefully, they will get it implemented on the Mac side quickly because I really enjoy having the note attached to any versified resource that you open. Great
