  • Re: *Log question: How to tell what resource was removed from my library?

Bradley did the May preview resources have a permanent license? I saw 4 them licenses were removed in count...which leaves one accounted for. This makes sense if they had permanent licenses?

Just keep this in mind everyone, with a flick of a switch inadvertently or not, you will no longer have those resources that you think are safe in your library. There is no accountability of these actions if they happen, no chance for recourse or to correct a mistake. And when you ask about it, all you'll hear is crickets chirping.

First you have a '\' in between Application and Support, but second it seems it does not process the '~' properly. Try putting the true path in, it works fine:

Yes I watch it, and it was definitely a resource with a permanent license that was removed. Thanks Alabama, I tried the update resources and it did not change. Boy that is frustrating and really not very professional to remove resources without some acknowledgement of it. What if it was done by mistake? IT's not a practice that builds trust IMHO. I

  • *Log question: How to tell what resource was removed from my library?

Is there a way to tell from the logs what resource was removed from my library today? It was not a temporary license, I checked the count of those. I searched in the library for temporary, deleted, and removed words, no luck. My library dropped by 1 in count today, I am wondering why. This is on a Mac, so the library compare utility that was written

  • Is an ESV version of Standard Lesson Commentary 2018-2019 Coming?

HI all, I see on Prepub there is an NIV and KJV version of the 2018-2019 Standard Lesson Commentary, for years there has also been an ESV version. Is that version coming, or should I switch to another version KJV/NIV? Thanks!

I have the others but I cancelled my prep yesterday too. No reason not to wait and see if a better deal comes along down the road. Good luck FL working on this on our behalf..

Milkman my recommendation is outside of Logos, but there is a comprehensive book on the life of the 35 Doctors of the Church called 35 Doctors of the Church . I have read it and it's excellent - my paperback copy is filled with notes, comments and thoughts! While the paperback is more expensive at $25 or so, the Kindle version is only $2.99 (which means

Personal information - prayer lists, notes, clippings, sermons, reading lists, probably history too - are kept on servers, which makes sense as it is a cloud/distributed platform. But in addition, despite pleading in the past on these forums, this data is NOT encrypted in the cloud. Most don't seem to care about that. I do, which is why any personal

I finally figured it out - Logos, Faithlife, etc. won't permit a log in if cookies are blocked, which Edge was set to.

JT, when I click that Verbum link, the unlocked does not work - I get resources that I already own, and I don't see a way to know the difference without clicking on each individual resource. Am I missing something?

  • Re: Verbum Now / Marketing Woes

Tom, is there any way that for the list of available free Verbum books, there could be a way to only see ones we do not already own? By my count there are over 3,000 of them listed there, and it seems for anyone with a reasonable sized library, it's hard to find ones not already owned. I gave up right now trying to find one....thanks.

  • Why can't I log in?

Has anyone had trouble logging into either logos.com or the forums from Windows 10/Edge? I hopped over to that platform (I am a Mac user), and I can log into both the forums here and logos.com using Chrome, but from Edge all it does is quickly refresh the screen, with no error message, and it still says "Sign In" at the top right. I have tried changing

MJ I have not read the whole commentary but there is enough overtone I thought it prudent to offer an opinion to exercise caution, both for what may be in this commentary as well as in consideration of other sources that paint a picture of what the author believes. His writing to me just seems to be pushing an agenda, whether or not he explicitly calls

Like many situations, some research may be prudent to decide if what Prof. Bobertz discusses is of your liking. For example, he has written in support of the ordination of women in the Catholic Church, a teaching that is contrary to dogmatic Catholic Church teaching, divinely revealed by Christ. There is more. While this is not a concern in the Lutheran

  • Re: Compilation of "Ex cathedra" Declarations?

An excellent book to read on this topic is Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma, by Ludwig Ott. Alas it used to be in Logos/Verbum, but I don't see it for sale anymore; no sure why. Anyway, it not only describes the grades of certainty (to what degree are Catholics required to assent, affirm, etc. given teachings), it goes through almost c catechism style
