I would like to remove the display of all of the symbols related to the textual apparatus. In other words, I want the NA28 text to look like the NA27 text looks in Logos. Since I don't have the textual apparatus for the Nestle-Aland 28 Greek New Testament, having these symbols clutters up the display of the text with footnotes I cannot use. Further

I recently reinstalled the Logos app on my phone running Android 7.0. I am having trouble with the links in the Faithlife Study Bible resource. Links to the ISBE are shown as locked. If I click on a link to an article, it takes me to the store. But in the store if says "You already own this product". which is true. Some links don't respond to a tap

I uninstalled the and reinstalled app and the problem seems to have corrected itself. It is not the first time that similar problems have occurred after an update.

The information about Greek and Hebrew words in reverse interlinear English Bibles no longer works properly, as of Android 5.16.2. In NASB 1995, no information is given about Greek or Hebrew words. In ESV, the information pertains to the wrong Greek or Hebrew word. For example, in Luke 16:24, if you long press on "called", the Greek word for "have mercy

I am not sure if you need to access the documents in my account. If so send me an email and I will share them with you. All 3 use Morph searches with Logos Greek morphology. #1 ([field bible, content] <LogosMorphGr ~ C?>) #2 (([field bible, content] <LogosMorphGr ~ D???>) BEFORE 2 WORDS ([field bible, content] <LogosMorphGr ~ N????>
It looks like a problem in synching a Visual Filter but I can't tell which one. have you created any new ones in the last week or so?
I created 3 visual filters on May 8. Those are the most recent. I tried opening all 3 visual filters. I synched after each one. After I opened the third one, the synching went through
-
For at least a week, Logos is unable to synchronize. When it tries to synchronize, it produces a red exclamation point and gives the message "A error occurred during synchronization. Click to try again". Restarting the computer makes no difference. My internet connection is working fine. I am able to get Logos updates. I am running Logos 7.7. beta 2
To clarify: only the limit for the span type you have selected is applied. (If you set the search span to 5 verses, the 20-word limit does not apply and you can find results more than 20 words apart.)
What happens if you have both a Search Span and a Span set? Which takes priority -- number of verses
There is a limit of a range of 5 verses, and also a limit of 20 words. Which is why those results are not shown.
This is an extremely restrictive limit. I can image grammatical constructions and stylistic studies in which the span needs to be larger than 20 words and larger than 5 verses. I am looking at the Opentext
it should be possible to get all results within a chapter, similar to Basic Search of bibles.
This is what puzzles me. My search should find the combination of Matt 1:1 with Matt 1:17 and Matt 1:2 with Matt 1:17 .
If you want to add a note to all, you simply attach the note to the "reference" instead of the "selection." It will then appear in all "versified" resources.
I had done this by accident when I was using the default palette-based highlighting and notes. I had added a note on my tablet in the Greek New Testament. I noticed

How can I add notes and highlighting that would appear in all Bible versions?
Say I want to find out what Hebrew words are usually translated ekklesia in the LXX...
Another way to do this is to search the Septuagint for lemma:ἐκκλησία. Syntax searches can be very complicated and time consuming to set up. Thus I would find it helpful to be able to enter a comment or description that would not be part of the search. It could appear in a non-searching text box or perhaps something like the information window on a resource. I often want to remind myself of the strategy I am attempting
-
Both ideas are great. Thanks to you both!

I want to create a copy of a Syntax search document so I can try some slight modifications to the search, without changing the original document. I know this can be done by looking at my documents on the Logos cloud website. Is there a way to do this from within the Logos program? I figured out how to do this a few years ago and I cannot remember what

Further investigation suggests that there is a limit to the search span in number verses or number of words. Here is an example: A search for Ἀβραὰμ followed by Ἀβραὰμ within 5000 words and 100 verses should find the combination of Matt 1:1 with Matt 1:2, but it also should find the combination of Matt 1:1 with Matt
Could you provide an example?
Sure. Here is a Morph Query for δε followed by δε within 20 words. It finds every combination of δε . . . δε within 20 words, even if it includes 2 or 3 verses. You can see from the results that some combinations in Matthew 1 include
Harry is talking about using the Morph Query Document - not a Morph Search.
Yes. Sorry I did not make that clear. Morphological command line searches are not case sensitive, unless the Match Case option is selected. But searches created with the Morph Query Builder are case sensitive and there seems to be no option
-
I was surprised to discover that a Morph Query search of the Greek surface text is case sensitive. A search for τοῦ will not find this word if it is at the start of a sentence or direct quotation and thus is capitalized (Τοῦ). This is inconsistent with how Logos behaves in command line searches of the Greek New Testament. I don
