Restarting the program after indexing also made no difference.
What happens if you reindex that resource?
That is a good idea since ANF8 works fine for Scripture searches. Unfortunately, I reindexed ANF9 and it made no difference.

  • Re: Figures of Speech tags question and suggestion

Hi Jimmy, Thanks for your feedback. I really like these tags and the ability to search on them. But I don't always get the classification in some instances. I understand what you are saying about ἀνοίξει τοῦ στόματός. For me, it is only "of my mouth" that is highlighted in a search

  • Bible search in Ante-Nicene Fathers

I am trying to do a search for Bible references within the Ante-Nicene Fathers vol 9 (Allan Menzies, ed). I entered the following search in a Basic search with All Text selected: <Bible ~ Luke> When I do this, no matches come, despite the fact that I am looking at a footnote that has a reference to Luke 10:7 in The Gospel according to Peter 7

  • Bible Word Study does not show Septuagint text

The Bible Word Study on Greek words lists verses in the Septuagint (LXX) as well as the New Testament. However, the text of the LXX verses is not displayed in the verse list in the Clause Participants section. If I hover over the reference, the text is displayed in a balloon window. I assume this is because the text is shown in the default Bible. Since

  • Re: Major BUG: Grammatical roles have disappeared in BWS

This would be a significant bug indeed. I just tried on several words in Greek and Hebrew and I was able to get the Grammatical Roles for Clause Participants. I am using 8.17 beta 1.

  • Annoyance: Logos loses what I typed in Location box

It is an annoyance that when I shift the focus away from Logos to another program, whatever I have typed in the Location box is deleted. I was entering a Hebrew word and wanted to look at another window to verify spelling and Logos deleted what I had typed already. Why not just leave that text in the Location box so I can add one more letter?

  • New resources added in languages I don't read

I just noticed that a recent update added new resources in Korean, Chinese and Portuguese. I don't read any of these languages and have no interest in resources in these languages. Is there any way to present adding/downloading resources in languages I would never use? It is annoying to have to track these down after updates and drag them to the Hidden
ou open the new collection. Then you click the Open dialog and from the list of available collections you drag one that you want into the "plus" field. This moves all books from that collection into the "super-collection".
Sweet! That is exactly what I wanted. I tested and if something is added to one of the sub-collections

  • Figures of Speech tags question and suggestion

For the Figurative Language tags in Bibles, is there any way to find the source of the categorization of a particular instance? Some of these I don't see as an example of what this tag says it is. It would be helpful to see an explanation. For example, in Ephesians 6:19, how are "mouth" and "gospel" examples of metonymy?I understand what a metonymy

  • Building a collection on another collection

Is there a way to make a collection that contains other collections? For example, if I have collections of Classical Greek reference books (lexicons, grammar, textbooks, etc.), Septuagint Greek reference books, and New Testament Greek reference books, could I make one super collection containing all 3 collections? I might be mistaken in my memory, but

  • Changing the format of Bible reference

Is there any way to customize the format of the Bible book reference when a Bible verse is copied and pasted? Every time I copy a Bible verse, I have to change the reference format, which is tedious. The format that Logos uses does not conform to any standard format used by publishers. For example, the citation is "Ro 8:28" rather than "Romans 8:28
All most people seem to care about is whether Logos Reader Editions have page numbers .
Yes. Page numbers are critical in ebooks. This is one of the major flaws of Kindle books. Also, we expect and assume that any digital book from Faithlife will have hyperlinks to the Bible.
Same Day Release titles can be Logos Reader Editions or Logos Research Editions.
How does one know which type a book is if the edition information is not updated in the description? Also, is a Logos Reader Edition the same as a Faithlife eBook in terms of the links to other Logos resources?

I looked on the product page for some of the recently announced products and could not find anything about the format on many of them. For example: Francis Maloney, The Apocalypse of John: A Commentary ( https://www.logos.com/product/187082/the-apocalypse-of-john-a-commentary ) and Atonement: Jewish and Christian Origins ( https://www.logos.com/product

  • Same Day Release question

Lately Faithlife has been announcing Same Day Release of some Bible commentaries and other reference books. How do we know if a Same Day Release book is a Research Edition or a Reading Edition ( https://www.logos.com/logos-editions )? I thought same day release was for books that you would read sequentially cover to cover, rather than a reference book

Weird. The post count was stuck at 1098 for about 12 posts, then it suddenly jumped to 1100 when I made a single new post. Then when I made 1 more post, the count did not increase. Something is not right in the forum software.
