  • Two iPad app suggestions

Two suggestions 1. When the text selected for display is white on black background please carry that forward to all displays. I use white on black in churchnwhen the lighting is low and when I switch from the reading display the black text on white background is glaring. 2. When you provide note taking please include the ability to take notes using

Will do. Thanks for the tip.

  • Taking Notes - a request

When you implement the note taking feature please allow the use of a stylus to enter text in addition to using the built-in keyboard which I presume you have already planned to allow. I just received a new Jot stylus and it works great for writing on the iPad as it is a fine point rather than a crayon point like all the other stylus' that I've seen

  • Text/Background Colors

I would like to request that the text/background that are selected for reading the bible be used when displaying anything else in the app. I use the Black background with white text while at church as it works better in dim lighting - it is very shocking to me and those around when I do a word study as the text changes to black text on a white background

  • Re: iPad PBB

My questions are (a) will our existing PBB's from pre-L4 be usable? and (b) can we share PBB's created by the new function with others?

  • Re: Pages moving on iPad

I reported this and the response is they are working on it. It can be very frustrating as our eyes are used to seeing things at the same place on a page and when they move it causes a mental disconnect (at least for me).

I found this which is a good summary - I don't see a date but suspect is preceeds John macArthurs work: http://www.slideshare.net/larosa217/slaves-for-christ

  • Re: Change/Replace text within a book ?

I mean no disrespect. I am a humble follower/slave of Yshua and while not seminary trained and without knowledge of original language I must trust those who do and when I learn something such as this I want to make sure I don't forget it (senior moments seem to occur due to short term memory failures on my part). I am sure the translators of the NASB

  • Re: Change/Replace text within a book ?

I sent a note to the Crossway folks asking if there were plans to change the text in a future revision of the ESV and was told they had changed servant to bondservant where it made more sense but they had not plans to change it to slave. imho slave makes sense and trying to be politically correct is not something that should apply to the Bible as the

  • Re: Change/Replace text within a book ?

Awesome - thanks. You are correct that reading John's book prompted my question. question: does this change also allow you to find every occurance of slave when you search for slave ?

  • Re: Change/Replace text within a book ?

Upon further reflection this isn't the best solution as a search will not find the new word As for why, the reason is that in some cases the English translation did not use the best word (e.g. Servant or bond-servant is not the same as slave)

  • Change/Replace text within a book ?

Is it possible, or planned, to be able to change text within a book. For example, I would like to change my ESV text where doulos is translated as something other than slave so the text says slave. I can believe that there may be other times where I would prefer the english translation to be a different word that more accurately reflects the original

  • Re: What's so wonderful about having an iPad for Logos?

While reading on the iPad is great because of the excellent display you may find it a tad heavy when you're holding it. Getting the right case for it can help as some have a hand grip but otherwise cases can make holding the iPad more of a challenge. Having said that, I too have found I'm reading more on my iPad than on my laptop (or iPhone). as with

  • Re: Presentation Software for iPad

You can gets Docs-To-Go which supports PowerPoint so you can create content on your pc and put it on your iPad. Then get an iPad av cable (apple has them and you can get them for less on ebay) that can connect to a projector.

  • Book reading options - a request

I would like to see the following capabilities added: 1) jump to the furthest page read especially if reading on both laptop and mobile. I know the location is sync'd but sometimes i will move to an earlier page and then want to return to the last page read, .... 2) reset (1) if starting over 3) keep the background (white, sepia, reverse) consistent

  • Re: forum broken for ipad safari

It only seems broken until you know the secret code. You have to tap on HTML to be able to enter text. Not intuitive but it does work as you can see and you can enter HTML codes as I did to bold see.

  • Re: My Logos for iPod/iPhone/iPad Wishlist

I would also like to see the reverse video while reading apply to anything in the logos app. It is very "annoying" when in a low light situation to do anything else (e.g. change books, go to library, do a word lookup, ...) as the reverse video only applies when reading. It would also be very nice to have a direct interface in the app to the screen brightness
