They should create a payment plan that works in reverse: it starts when the books goes into production and ends when it's finished. BAM! Payment plan!

And I say this after literally just packing and moving 180 feet of books to a new house too!

After years of giving it a go, I have to agree: Paper books are superior, if only for the experience alone. I love the functionality ebooks bring to the table, but their slightly gnostic-like experience always leave me wanting more. There's nothing like a roomful of books, and having your children explore your bookshelves is no match to them scrolling

Actually, he's still alive. He's since changed his name to George and spends time on Internet forums. Dont be fooled.

That would be hard to do. One man's heresy is another man's essential doctrine!
Is there an easy way to figure out how much one spent in the past year? I know I can go to my order history, but how do that without adding up every individual order? Thinking about taxes...
Go to your credit card website and find out what terms post with a Faithlife transaction, then do a keyword search over the last

Has there been any progress in this area? I'm happy to see Clippings finally make its way onto the platform and will probably migrate my notes to Clippings, but I'm surprised to find that there isn't a way to sort Clippings once they're added aside from dragging and dropping. Logos is at version 6.9. Is this feature non-existent, or am I missing it

Scott, I don't think it is. To do it right would be a time commitment I'm not interested in. While there are ways to export the OCR text to Word documents, it would take a long time to clean up the text. Not impossible, just not anything I think worth doing. A searchable PDF serves my needs for the sort of books I'm scanning.

I'm still caught half and half. I love the idea and features of electronic books, but love the physicality of real books. Ebooks are like a long distance relationship with your spouse, while real books are like having her in the same room as you. Same "mind", but totally different experience. One project I've embarked on lately is digitizing my own

I use Time Machine to backup my Mac computer. One folder I don't backup is the LibraryIndex folder in my Logos installation. Its a group of files that was usually very large and updated frequently, so I didn't want it backing up all the time. I looked at the folder today and noticed it was a lot smaller than it used to be. Several GBs smaller. I was

I don't understand why this change is so controversial. It limits us from spending money we don't have while also strengthening Faithlife as a company. Let me give you a real world example in a way FL can't. A few years back I was paying off my outstanding balance and a FL employee got my account mixed up with someone else's. Here's what was sent to

I found this bit of info from five years back: https://community.logos.com/forums/p/14141/108642.aspx#108642 " The primary difference between the Protestant and Catholic editions is that the Protestant edition has all of the footnotes, and I believe many of the footnotes in the Catholic version have been excised. When we originally released the ECF

From what I understand it actually has less material. The editors of the set were't always kind in their editorial comments to the Catholic Church.

Imagine looking at a wall and seeing it lined with all your Logos resources virtually recreated on bookshelves. You take a blank book off the shelf and HoloLogos populated the blank pages with text from whatever resource you want to read! id buy it just for that!

Has anyone here gotten a Surface Book yet? http://www.microsoft.com/surface/en-us/devices/surface-book I played around with one at the Microsoft Store the other day and it was really cool! The screen part was actually lighter than the Surface Pro 4 they had nearby. I haven't owned a Windows laptop for years, but I may reconsider with this one.
Wow Greg.. What a book collection.. I am just about out of bookshelf room and now have some stacks of books on my floor.. My wife is getting on to me about that..
Thanks! That's the crown jewel of my paper collection! So check this out, if you're ever in need of more bookshelf space (and digital isn't doable),

Looking over my desk, I'm incredibly pleased with this pre-pub! And the price can't be beat either! WOW! How about The Great Ideas Today once this one ships?
-
And just FYI, its not exactly under development yet. It still needs the necessary support to go into development. So get all you're friends in on it! https://www.logos.com/product/52303/companion-to-the-catechism-collection
