10:32–33 32. Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. 33. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven. CHRYSOSTOM. The Lord having banished that fear which haunted the minds of His disciples, adds further comfort in what follows

  • Title: The Holy Bible Translated from the Latin Vulgate

Title pages are missing from this 2009 FaithLife edition. [Cover picture at product description is for "show" only: https://www.logos.com/resources/LLS_DOUAYRHEIMS/douay-rheims-bible ] Archive.org lists ~200 variations of "this Bible". I'd simply like to know which "one" "ones" Verbum used to create its digital version...and, specifically: Too see the

"Yes, Steve:" 1. Please keep your discussions focused on Logos Bible Software: our software, products, websites, company, tools, etc. Indeed: I was addressing the "whole ball of wax" which Logos/Verbum loosely-considers "Catholic" . 2. Please do not discuss or debate biblical, theological, or other controversial topics. Use one of the many web forums

Logos seems blind to the fact that the Novus Ordo Sect has usurped the identity of the Catholic Church. The Simulacrum has no interest in correcting Logos. Verbum seems populated 100% by members of the Simulacrum without a clue as to their identity. If you want to "learn" about Catholicism, I'd suggest using pre-1958 resources often-available via Archive

Is the 10 vol. Commentary on the 1917 CIC going to be ready anytime soon? I may be starting dialysis soon and it would make interesting reading while I'm having my body filtered of heresies.

I'm perplexed. I still see the 10 vol. Canon Law Collection in development. Yet fgh says it's been delivered! Which is true?

Welcome Craig! As a user of Verbum with no interest in non-Catholic Logos products, I'm happy to see new blood promoting specific products for Catholics. I've just noted that my vol. 3 of Lapide's commentary is the 3rd ed. yet archive.org has the 5th edition. Why would Verbum have placed the 3rd ed. vs. the newer one? On this same train, I have no interest

[quote user="Dan Francis"] Bibles change. The Rsv of 1952 is not available because it was revised in 1972... NAB is not the one released in 1970, the KJV is not the one released in 1611. Most every popular translation has undergone revision to improve it yet retains the original name (yes the nab in now sometimes referred to as nab:re), I do understand

[quote user="EastTN"] The language you're using suggests that you see the notes from the prior version as something much more than a helpful study tool for Christians. Otherwise why would you describe the existing Challoner offering as "adulterated," "heretical," "impostured," "fake," "misleading," deficient" or a sign of "anti-Catholic bias" on the

Please don't diverge/incite side-discussion from the thread's central topic. If you're serious about such a discussion, side-link to another thread that you create. The example provided is merely illustrative of the absent weight of the Original Notes (Commentary) . That their presentation prodded your "fascination" proves their value/my original assertions

Links to von Peters' transliteration of the 1582 NT and 1609 OT Douay-Rheims English have been cited. The doc spent a decade of his life away from wife and (8) children meticulously ciphering the original text as accurately as he was able to do. I read in his bio?/an article? that he considers this labor a "charitable work of mercy" (toward the common

These Texts are already ready to be incorporated into Logos and Verbum collections: "Dr. William G. von Peters has transliterated the Texts into modern English". They are available in .pdf formats. Perhaps now Logos and Verbum will provide their patrons the opportunity to "credit" their adulterated Challoner D-R texts toward purchasing the REAL Douay
