  • Paragraph separations - Matthew Henry ad others

Hey folks! This is something I've always thought - although I love Matthew Henry and still find he has much to offer our modern world, it really annoys me how there was no paragrah spacing inserted between his various sections (i.e. I, II, III, 1, 2 ,3 etc.) which makes it difficult to simply move from one part to another as one is reading and looking

Well I fixed it again yesterday and now it seems to be working properly... chalk it up to randomness...

  • "Daily Reading" card keeps disappearing

Hey folks! I've created a card on my dashboard for my "Listen to my audio bible in a year" daily task. The other day I realized it had disappeared and though I might have accidentally deleted it. So I created another, and this morning that one has disappeared as well. It's using a daily reading of the NKJV, starting on January 1st and ending this December

See... that's what I thought too... so I streamed and watched that first video - but this is the screen clipping after I had done that! Is there maybe some setting I've forgotten about where I told Logos to always just stream videos and never download them? Could that be it?

Done! I do always find it interesting on how those who were raised in qalternative worldviews, such as communism, generally are in the best place to write books like this - they KNOW what's a stake when the world gets it wrong... Looking forward to it!

  • Well THIS is cool!

Anyone else read about this? https://blog.verbum.com/2019/08/all-roads-lead-to-rome-how-verbum-met-the-pope/ Watch me name-drop... "So the pope and I use the same software... LOL! (well I use Logos but still...) Perhaps a visit to Logos Headquarters will be in order the next time he's in the States? I highly recommend it! Maybe he's lurking in the fora

  • Thematic Outlines in Logos 8

Is there somewhere where I can get a list of all the Thematic Outlines that have been created for Logos 8 (i.e. the ones that show up in an inductive study workflow at Step 18, for instance. Thanks!

Amen, and amen! Since the new version, I have tried out both the Passage Exegesis Workflow (in my study of 2 Thess. 1, and then the Inductive Bible Study Workflow (2 Thess. 2, 3). It has meant many months of Logos-guided fun! In fact, I have now decided that my Favourite Thing, is when I'm told to summarise my passage in 25 words or less. No easy task

  • Re: (Humor) Babylon Bee: Logos Update...

Hilarious... from the series "Stretching the Boundaries that Wound Us", LOL! I think if the Babylon Bee had been around when the Apostle Paul was around, he would have written a letter to them beginning with, "I always give thanks for you, my brother and sisters..." What a blessing those people are to the Body... helping us laugh at our foibles all

Well doesn't THAT just make perfect sense, Mark?! Incredible how we humans have a gift for complicating the obvious. Thanks!

  • Re: Results not showing up?

Thanks Dave! Okay, so now part 2 of my research - I have a collection called Dictionaries and Encyclopedias in which I did a search of ' excommunicat* ' It produced about 2900 results in 125 resources. But of course, a lot of those were biographical entries where that person was excommunicated (boy, we used to do that at the drop of a pin, didn't we

  • Re: Nelson's Complete Book of Bible Maps and Charts

I actually used to have the paper copy of this so I was thrilled just to have it electronically, even without the tagging. I still use it as my first reference when beginning a new study of a Bible book... and use it with my small group as well - it gives them some neat background info as we begin our study. But yeah, tagging would be cool too... who

  • Re: Results not showing up?

Interesting, thanks Sean! Yes, I just did a search on All Resources as well and found a (much better!) set of 11,841 results in 1296 resources. So can someone explain why "Everything" doesn't get the same thing? Or to paraphrase Bill Clinton, maybe doesn't "everything" mean "everything"?

  • Results not showing up?

So I decide to do a basic search of "Everything", looking for the word excommunicate or excommunication as below: excommunicat* I KNOW the word ALSO appears in (at least) the Code of Canon Law, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, and Nelson's Illustrated Bible Dictionary (and probably a bunch of other dictionaries and encyclopedias - I have 6300 books

  • Just one of those "I'm curious" questions

I was wondering what, exactly, is a Logos "dataset"? I just noticed an updated list of them and suddenly thought, "what are those, anyway?" I know they're a huge part of everything we do, but can someone just "cash it all out", as it were? Thanks!
