Does my suggestion at https://community.logos.com/forums/p/174529/1008462.aspx#1008462 help?
It is a workaround but it's not a fix because it does not open the page to the Bible you have selected in the reading plan. The introduction of this new "feature" messes up the basic functionality of the reading plan feature

This works well except that I no longer am able to check off that I have read the current passage, i.e. the "mark read" button no longer appears at the end of the chapter.

  • BUG: Changing the default reading plan layout

If you change the reading plan layout by replacing the default layout using "Replace with current layout", the specified layout loads when you open the reading plan. However, when you click on the bible reading card, it no longer opens the Bible with the "Start reading" heading. As a result, when you finish reading the chapter, there is no way to update
A number of us have made our case against this to the Faithlife team!
Some of the new features seem to be aimed a people that were basic users. The problem with this is that approach is that it seems to mess things up for people who were more advanced users.
Does the suggestion at https://community.logos.com/forums/t/174439.aspx help you?
Thanks! This solves my problem, although I will have to change the layout for the reading plan every time I move to a new book. But I did that for my default layout in any event so it is a reasonable workaround. Thanks again!!

  • Unwelcome change to reading plans

I have taken a great deal of time to set up specific layouts for each book of the Bible, including setting up the top rated commentaries for each book. This worked very well with the reading plans, so as I advanced through various books, I would set up my default to the specific book I was reading through. But with Logos 8, this has now changed. The

It plays some videos and won't play others? That's a Mac issue? The software is supposed to work on a Mac.

  • Quickstart video problem

Tried watching the quickstart videos this morning and received the error, "We couldn't access the media you're trying to play." I watched one video without problem and received this error while trying to watch "Survey the Desktop". Internet speed is at 177 Mbits/sec so speed is not an issue and I am having no other internet issues.

Is there a reason that the Romans commentary by Bird, Michael F. (Zondervan 2016) appears to be unavailable ? Thanks!

  • Boolean searching not working properly

I tried searching for the string "worth it" and got 502 results. I then did a search for "worth it" OR "worth the" and got 64 results. That is not how the disjunctive operator is supposed to work. The results should have increased. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
f you are on a public network i.e hotel/motel...
I'm not in a hotel/motel. I have downloaded a number of items at over 2 Mbits/sec (which is slow compared to my 175 at home) but the Logos speed was at 15 Kbits/sec which is terrible. As a result, it seems to be a problem on the Logos side.

I bought a new computer as a result of a theft of my previous computer while we were on vacation.
Rod, you might consider expanding the collection to include type:magazine. At a purely resource level, some of the titles are--strictly speaking--magazines and not journals.
That helped. Although, it is strange that this string - "type:journal OR title:”Evangelical Review of Theology” OR type:magazine
