Not to diminish any critical feedback, I have to say at least in terms of my expectations and experience is that L8 is the best Mac version ever. (I started with Series X on Windows, but moved to 1.x for Mac when it came out.) To me what makes L8 great is not the bells and whistles, datasets, etc., but speed and reliability. There is a clear improvement

No major issues here...

Rick - how do you have an Exegetical Summary for John 1-9? I don't have this in my collection and have not been able to find it on the Logos website either...

If you search these forums, the discussion on journals goes back years now... I think my last engagement on a thread goes back to at least 2013. With all the imperfections, there was a 'golden era' of journals... we had Galaxie and BAR. I understand why they went away, but it was reasonably priced and consistent. We can't go back, but I hope that something
There’s room for more than one major Bible software company. It’s not a zero sum game. This isn’t Highlander. There can be more than one.
Logos 8 was awful at release. It didn‘t stand on the previous generations of development in many aspects because they revamped it so much and released it with serious flaws in the home page and notes.
Logos 4, particularly for Mac, was a rodeo that has never been matched. That said, Logos has generally exercised
I believe this should be resolved (viewing NET reverse interlinear inline) but may require closing the resource window and restarting Logos / Verbum. If you're still having issues, please follow up on this thread.
Yup, it started working. Nice add!

I have no clue the history, except I started with Series X Scholar Gold I think it was. I have upgraded with every version since and even owned Logos 1.x Mac which was sort of like version three. For me thIs round is Academic Premium and Standard Gold. The trouble is since my library has grown so much over the years, I really don’t think I have

If we are going to go this route, we really need the ability to import PDFs, html, rich text and markdown files. I know this has been discussed extensively before, but the reality is that papers in Logos will rarely be composed of research exclusively from the Logos ecosystem. Being able to open a website from within Logos would be very useful as well

Over the years I have handed the issue of having a growing collection of commentaries with collections. I am thrilled to see particularly the 'type' and 'era' categories. If you would like to see more of this, there is a feedback suggestion to bring in 'theology system' which can be voted on: https://feedback.faithlife.com/boards/logos-data-sets/posts

Being that Apple Silicon has been anticipated for a long time, I am surprised there has nothing been said from FL about this yet, particularly as it relates to L9.
Connect subscribers get all updates incuding major updates. That is one among many 'benefits' of connect membership. If you wanted to stay on 8 as a connect subscriber you have to turn off automatic updates.
Yeah, I sort of remember this now... there were no bugs or noticeable speed reductions in what I was working

I've been around Logos since series X and my initial impression of this new version is that it is a solid evolution of the software. The big winners in order of importance for me are: - The New Factbook: If you have a lot of resources, we needed additional ways to mine our book data and I think this is a real value add along with the dataset. I am a

It’s not crazy. I use google to really mine for answers on the forum.
4. Several branches of Christianity take " Lex orandi, lex credendi" very seriously. Liturgy IS theology in contrast to theology of liturgy. Therefore, Faithlife needs to improve the sequencing of the data in the Liturgy Guide section, implement historic lectionaries (i.e. liturgical dates only), and implement a basic structure

Interesting thoughts everyone. Thanks. When I made the switch to digital, the hard part for me was that the more I engaged a book, the more part of my memory of the material was where it was physically in the book. I missed this in digital and it was like driving down the road without your headlights on. This was particularly the case for my paper Bible
Please permit Preferred Resource Sections, so one can easily tell what resources they have "preferred" for each section, and can also tell when they have no resources preferred for a particular resource type (IE: Dictionaries). Perhaps each section can be outlined (like below), with a flyover label of the preferred resource

Yes, a shameless plug... but I stand behind Dr. Wayne Grudem... I was delighted to see Dr. Grudem featured on Faithlife Today promoting the Strack and Billerbeck Commentary on the New Testament from the Talmud and Midrash . This pre-pub has been around for ages... I placed my pre-order on June 17, 2013 and so it's time... it's over time... Interested

In fairness, I know part of the challenges are to do with licensing and that has changed even in the last few years. I seem to recall BAR went their own way to no fault of Logos and I think The Masters Seminary Journey did as well along with a hand full of others. Logos can't be held responsible for that and we as users need to direct our feedback to
Mainly a super sale on NICOT/NT - Hint, hint...$599 for the entire set as the Publisher has done with WS, Olive Tree and Accordance
This would be quite a sale, at least by Logos' standards as the original pre-pub price for the entire set in 2009 was $999.95 and since then there have been additional volumes added. Not sure why
