I'm guessing the underlying architecture must exist, as clicking a note icon in a resource will open to a specific note, so could this same functionality be encoded into a "Copy Location As" URL?
Given that the team is currently working on a replacement for Notes (see Phil's posts on the subject in the forums),

I have no memory of "Copy location as URL" ever supporting a link to a specific note in a Notes Document. Maybe it was a feature in Libronix DLS (which always had a "Split" view that showed one note at a time)? https://blog.logos.com/2008/06/linking_between_note_files_and_other_documents/ (If so, libronixdls: links to individual notes were never supported

Of course there are ways around this, and there could be a standard logging folder that

And note that you will only get in this situation if you've explicitly turned Controlled Folder Access on, which (so far) is an extremely small number of customers (although that may grow if Microsoft promotes the feature heavily).

There is no way to completely disable logging; some log files are always written. We know that Documents is the "wrong" place to save log files (they're not user-created documents) and have recently been discussing this problem internally. I've added a link to this post (with the problems it's causing for OneDrive) to that discussion.
