• Re: Working with maps/atlas
Did I hear Libby?! I went back to see just how good the Logos Bible Atlas is. And indeed, it has a nice topo presentation, what to include, periods, etc. I was singularly impressed that the little blue lines are labeled 'rivers'. Mr Pritchett is credited with the text display engine ... as you zoom in or out, what gets displayed
DanC, did you manually make this collection or use a rule to gather them? If you created a rule, would you mind sharing it? I'm interested in doing the same! I agree. In the mean time, I put all my atlases, maps, charts, and images into a collection. NowI can do a search for any event or place using this collection. It provides a lot of returns.

  • Sorting notes

When my notes switched over to Logos 8, it created "Notebook:Bible Study" in which I have collected 2,331 results over the years from various sermons. Whenever I add a new note to this notebook, with "by Notebook" checked in the list for sorting selection, it puts them at the bottom of the notes. There is no option to sort by reference. If I go to the

I have the same problem. Tech support deleted Logos completely off my laptop and reinstalled it. Two days later, after all the books downloaded, it reindexes each time I open Logos. I have to leave the laptop running for hours to have the index finish. But when I open Logos again, it starts indexing all over. Any ideas?? The indexing uses a lot of resources
I use Biblical Places only offline. Best choice in Logos. Also I like New Bible Atlas. But my opinion, wasting your time in Logos. Fully customizable, and what Logos 'should' have done: https://biblemapper.com/gallery.html
Thanks for the link. Logos should definitely add a program like this to their software family, even

  • Accidently Closing Books

Anybody else have an issue with the "x" in the book tabs? When I go from book to book, on occasion I will hit the "x" by accident and close a book in my layout. I would be nice to keep the book tabs free of the "x".

I have tried printing a canvas in the beginning, but the png export did not print well. Not worth all the effort until you can print a clear and readable canvas.

I have tried to load Logos Bible Atlas using the compatibility mode for Windows 95, but it still does not load, saying "This app can't run on our PC." The old Logos Bible Atlas stand alone software was better. I used it for years but it will not work any longer in MS Windows 10. I liked how you could customize every map, select whatever cities you wanted to see on the map, and then put it in 3D format and be able to see elevation differences.
I just noticed another thing that changed in the Logos 8 version of notes. I copied and pasted a section of text from a book and found that the resource citation added at the end is NOT a link as has been the case in all past versions of Logos. If I want it to be a link I now have to manually create it. This

This happens to me all the time and I have to reopen the book.
Is anyone else really annoyed by accidentally closing tabs in Logos 8 because the close 'x' icon now sits next to the book cover image in each tab header and if you don't position your cursor EXACTLY on the book cover image and are a little to far to the right

I am missing this option also. From inside my Bible, I used to right click the verse and select add note to "bible study" note. It is not there in L8. It does allow me to add a note, but not to a specific notebook. Also, when I add the new note to my bible study notebook, it does not show up in the list.
