I have a Kindle DX. I like it very much. The PDF support is great. I have my secretary scan the relevant pages of my commentaries (preaching through Philippians now) and I can load them on the Kindle and have them all travel around with me. Very nice.
Wow, a secretary and a Kindle! As a bivocational church planter,I

Does anyone think that there might be a hoarding mantality when it comes to digital resources and that seeing the number increase can add to one's ego a bit?.
hmmm... not

  • OT - My Interview with William P Young

Since we all love books, I know you are familiar with "The Shack" by William P Young. I just finished posting a 3 part interview with Paul. He discusses important issues like Postmodernism and gives some surprising comments about the Gospel. Give a listen, and let me know what you think by posting on my blog. HERE IS THE LNK TO PART 1 of 3

  • Re: More on translation, Eugene Peterson, and the KJVO people
Peterson translated into a paraphrase. He worked with the Greek but his method of bringing the language into English was to paraphrase it. He did not try to form a literal or a dynamic equivalent translation, he tried to form a paraphrase translation. The fact that he worked from the Greek does not make the final result any

I am often asked questions by folks in the church and I often find some passages from these kinds
It's rare that you can make everyone happy, but after reading this list of ideas for library searching, visual and textual navigation, and collection management, I think I can say that the next version of Logos will -- for this area at least -- make you all very, very happy. :-)
does that include Mac users too Bob

  • Re: What is your most desired missing feature to be included in the next Mac version?

I would like to add that I do miss the home page for collections. Not having access to things like my John Piper sermon Home Page, makes finding his relevant sermons relatively impossible (the time it takes is far too great vs. the return). I would like to be able to gain access to these third party home pages again if possible.

I generally (arrogantly?) skim passed works older than 100 years, but I appreciate your comments about people having unique insight, etc. I may need to look into them. We actually have the hard copy of PC (called something else) in our church library

  • Forum navigation

Hi Logos Tech, The site seems to be coming along nicely. I do have a few suggestions. 1. When I am in one forum, there is no quick way to navigate to another forum unless I go back to the home page first. It would be nice if there was a way to switch from forum to forum in each page. 2. It would be nice if I could mark "All threads Read" from the page
