I backed up the appdata/logos4 folder and all its contents of about 5 GB and reinstalled Vista on system after reformating the drive. Ran installer for Logos 4 and rebooted and logged in after copying resources to correct folder but it tried to download resources again and they dont show up in Logos 4. I cancel the download, exited Logos and logged

I would say there are a couple of reasons why it is phone based presently Its very easy to develop for and easy to distrabute and only has to support i set of hardware. W mobile and android have to support multiple hardware and is not as easy for a developer to create. The iphone is also v popular and been round alot longer than android. obviously this

so if the problem is fixed how do we deal with it on the iphone and get rid of the "lingering" issue ? i was thinking if it is now fixed should i delete the iphone app and reinstall it ? maybe that will help ?

its a pain i have a half dozen reading plans showing on my iphone yet they are all deleted on my computer apart from one

in a VM XP is still faster than 7 there is not alot in it though. Parallels 5 definitely has a slight edge on Fusion and there are some benchmarks about to show that but they are not Logos specific of course. But bottom line is the Mac alpha of Logos is way faster than either XP or 7 in a VM. There is no comparison. I have tried all the different tricks

there has to be a decent reason why you want to upgrade your OS. I firstly comment of a "real" Windows system If you are currently happy with XP and it does what you want then why go through the pain. Generally it is alot better do do a fresh install rather than an upgrade over XP so youll have to be happy to take all the time and backup and make sure

yes i have it on my mac and iphone in a reading plan

Is it possible that spotlight indexes the content of logos 4
Spotlight does not index L4 books. I have not had any slowdowns with Spotlight in any Alpha release, so I am sot sure if there is any connection. Sorry can't help more.
It doesnt actually seem to slow logos 4 down at all You

I notice that a huge amount of my cpu is used up alot of the time Logos 4 Mac Alpha (8) is running by the application or process MDS. I know mds is something to do with spotlight so I have checked and it seems the little magnifying glass for spotlight seems to say nothing about indexing. There is no logos icon in the title bar so it isnt indexing yet
Shane I did not notice at first that this was posted in the Mac Forum. I should have, since that is where I started from, but senility set in, and I forgot where I was Layouts can accomplish everything you described—in the Windows version. We do have Layouts in the Mac version now, but they are somewhat limited. The Mac version

I started this thread and you have all put some interesting spins on it which is great. I think if I was going to start this thread again I would of titled it a little different and refined my question a bit more. I now understand alot more would probably approach what I originally was asking for differently. Ignorance is not bless aas they say For
I think everyone should also keep in mind that giving everyone the ability to use one ID for multiple settings that don't sync, those who are willing to violate the ULA (User License Agreement) and effectively someone could install L4 on multiple systems for many different users. I am sure that is no one here, but we know that

we need the freedom to make our own minds up and not be forced into one way and one way only. We should have options in syncing. which resources would suit some as suggested a netbook user has little space and may say i only want a basic set of resources which parts of the system sync such as which books are displayed (maybe we can just choose which

I love the way that with Information pane up that u simply move your mouse over any word in a bible or commentary and it pops up in the info window with meanings and other related info .... v cool

Yes it has been discussed and is a pain but the alpha is a work in progress Alpha 8 the latest one has an option I use to get around this rather than going to a window mode rather than full screen. Go to the tools menu and down the bottom area is the "information" lookup it should open in a section of your screen. move it where u like by dragging it
