A number of our pastors are using Macbook Pros that are getting a bit long in the tooth--in some cases 5+ years old. I'm looking at refreshing their computers as our budget allows.
My MacBook is 7 years old and still runs like a champ. It has 8MB RAM and a 256GB ssd and was low end when I bought it. I would have a

  • Bug: wrong tagging in Lexham Hebrew Bible

Just tried out the latest release (5.0b SR2) to see whether the original language issue in the clause search function was fixed, and yes, it is! Thank you. However, I found some mistagged item: I did the following search: subject:God verb-lemma:הלך The search also hit on Gen 15:2: However, the subject of הלך "to walk" is not God but Abram in this case

  • Re: Hebrew Lemma in Clause Search (L5)
This needs to be addressed in the Logos 5 forum , which caters for Mac and Windows users and Clause Search issues (because it is not implemented in Logos 4).
Sorry about this, I moved it over to the Logos 5 Forum, I was just attracted by the "mac" label, I guess. Consider the topic closed.

  • clause search for Hebrew lemma

I was giving the clause search a go today and noticed that when I choose Lexham Hebrew Bible as the search version and search for a Hebrew lemma, the box turns red and does not let me search. The search string I was trying runs as follows: "subject:Abraham verb-lemma:דבר" To make things even stranger: After closing the search window and reopening it

  • Re: Hebrew Lemma in Clause Search (L5)

    I did supply a passage: Gen 18:30ff. Here is an example: וַ֠יֹּאמֶר אַל־נָ֞א יִ֤חַר לַֽאדֹנָי֙ וַאֲדַבֵּ֔רָה אוּלַ֛י יִמָּצְא֥וּן שָׁ֖ם שְׁלֹשִׁ֑ים וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ לֹ֣א אֶֽעֱשֶׂ֔ה אִם־אֶמְצָ֥א שָׁ֖ם שְׁלֹשִֽׁים׃ ( Ge 18:30 ) The english version of the clause search found this.

  • Re: Hebrew Lemma in Clause Search (L5)

not so: If you search for Abraham as subject of the verb "to speak", you see some instances of דבר being used (cf. esp. Gen 18:30ff. Furthermore, the screenshot shows the attempt to search a Hebrew lemma without Abraham as subject. This works find for Greek, but not Hebrew.
