Who do you is the next one to fall? OliveTree? Accordance? It looks like Faithlife / Logos might be the last one standing...
I can assure you Accordance is doing just fine. We’re not going to fall, and we’re not going anywhere. There’s room for more than one major Bible software company. It’s not a
While it's not an "Orthodox" translation (such a beast doesn't exist in English)
What about the St. Athanasius Academy Septuagint (SAAS), the OT translation in the Orthodox Study Bible? It’s not perfect, but it is definitely an Orthodox translation of the LXX and the most readable of any LXX translation

There's a bug in the current Mac version of Word (15.29.1) that is causing all kinds of problems like this for numerous programs. Supposedly those running the beta of 15.31.x say that it's fixed. Not certain when that will be released though.

Does anyone happen to know the status of The Eastern/Greek Orthodox Bible edited by Laurent Cleenewerck. Obviously, the NT is available; but at one time the Old Testament was in progress, too. The website in the frontmatter of the NT forwards to a different website, and the email contact bounces back. Is the Old Testament still in progress?

Gabe announced on his Facebook page a couple of weeks ago that he no longer works at Faithlife. He took another job in the Bellingham area.

Whenever I run the Faithlife TV live stream on the 4th gen Apple TV, after a few minutes, the sound begins cutting out. When it comes back--usually just for a few seconds--it's no longer synced with the video. I just ran the SpeedTest app made for the Apple TV, which shows I'm getting 61.47 down and 6.36 up, so I don't think it's my connection causing

Yes, I saw. I am subscribed to both threads :-) Thanks.
It's not a small thing, actually. It's largely a function of the different architectural approaches to electronic texts I've alluded to. Logos books are essentially documents, that is, large, mostly unstructured chunks of text, with indexes for finding locations within them at the time a search is executed. Accordance and Bibleworks
Seriously though, not trying to troll you guys :) But if some of you are so concerned about split screen and a full version of Logos 6 just try the Surface Pro 4. You can get it for about the same price as the iPad Pro (and in some cases cheaper) with the pen.
I think it's a mistake to compare the iPad Pro
What I want is something that I can lay on the pulpit to preach from on Sunday, and to prepare the sermon on during the week.
I believe the iPad Pro will be perfect for the pulpit or classroom podium. The presentation view from Keynote is wonderful. Lots of room for the current slide on one side and notes on the other.

Perhaps not the best for reading in bed, which is where I am with my iPad Pro now. If I'm reading with it over my head, and I fall asleep, it might injure me to the point I never wake up!

I've had no real heat issues, and I've pushed it pretty hard a number of times. It gets warm, but not hot.

I've been using the 1.3 Ghz 2015 12" MacBook for about 6 months now. The portability of it is its chief selling point in my opinion. It's light and easy to carry--much more so that my previous 2012 15" MacBook Pro. The new trackpad is great--definitely an improvement on the older ones that physically pressed down. You'll swear this one presses down
Holman may have no interest in licensing it out. It may be reserved for their own Bible software, it is true this is available in Accordance where I own it, but this might have initially been offered to them because they had mac software, so i.e.:we sell it on ours for windows, you can sell it for the mac. If this is not the
Add something like Accordance's INFER command for searching extrabiblical parallels: http://www.accordancebible.com/INFER-Command-In-Greek-Texts.
I have to say, there's some topnotch writing at that link ;-)
...since I do not have the corresponding NICOT volume, and I cannot find something that matches in the many lexical resources I have, I am curious about what exactly he says about the meaning or connotations of גִּלּוּלִים. Well, if we're on this subject, see Dan Block's comment on Ezekiel's particular word for "idols" in the Ezek 6:4-7 section of his NICOT commentary. Although he is politely reserved in his commentary, Block was less reserved in the informal setting of the classroom (back in the 90s) where he told us the English equivalent of exactly what Ezekiel meant
Accordance is programmed by Messianic Jews.
The statement is too absolute. The company has a variety of faith traditions represented in its employees.
PS: I really would like to know if there are any ethically built computers, etc.
I imagine it's just a sliding scale regardless of where the computer comes from. Even if you make the computer yourself, the parts have to come from somewhere and were put together under certain conditions. Regardless, it's good to keep
