• Re: Tip: switching easily between commentaries of the same series
You can create your own too. e.g. your favorite NT Greek bible with your favorite OT Hebrew Bible.
Really o.O? Pray tell? I've been wanting to do this for ages! Thanks, Liam

  • Re: What to buy with $50 off $100?

I realise that it is a bit idiosyncratic to post the titles that I purchased. That said, that said since eligibility was based on RRP and not discount price, I used mine to maximise the discount on some resources that I needed, but were also on sale or eligible for my academic discount. So purchased:

  • Kindle update?

HI FL, I was wondering when I can expect a Kindle Fire update for Logos which will fix some of the mobile issues people have been experiencing lately? (eg. bible verses appearing outside of boxes in sermon docs, books not filling the whole screen in landscape mode, etc.) Thanks, Liam

  • Re: 2 Extra Logos Now perks for May

I'm very grateful for the voucher, thank you Logos. I was able to pick up the PNTC on 2 Corinthians, a Luther reader, and an Anabaptist reader for a total of £31! The PNTC was about £38 on its own. Thanks again, Liam

  • Re: Preaching the Word - 1 &2 Thessalonians Commentary Separate Individual Purchase

Jim, all Vyrso books can be accessed on Logos but not vice versa. That said, Vyrso books are essentially epubs (or similar) prepared by the publisher are of varying quality compared to Logos books which are prepared by Faithlife. I occasionally purchased vyrso books that don't even have a working contents page!!! That's said the majority have been fine

  • Re: What is your primary English translation?

For reading, studying, preaching, etc. I use the NIV2011. Sure it isn't perfect but I believe it does a good job of balancing accuracy and meaning. This balance is primary for me in a bible translation. In the Text Comparison tool I use the following in this order (reflecting the translation spectrum). 1. ESV 2. CSB 3. NIV2011 4. NCV 5. NLT A note for

  • Re: Does Now discount stack with student discount?

I have Now and Student Discount. yes it does stack on base libraries. I get a green box notification telling me so when I view base packages. Now subscribers can get a further discount on base packages since you do not need to purchase feature sets (they come as standard with Logos Now - or rent them - depending on how you look at it.) I hope that helps

  • Re: Your thoughts on Journal of Biblical Counseling?
You will want to hit space or enter after pasting a link to activate it
Doh! School boy error! Thanks for pointing it out. Thanks for feedback too. I have his book 'Redeeming Anger' which is off the charts - hence my gravitation towards this collection. Thanks for your thoughts... Really helpful.

  • Your thoughts on Journal of Biblical Counseling?

Thinking about getting the "Journal of Biblical Counseling" collection. Does anyone own it? What are you thoughts? ? how often do you use it and for what? How helpful might I find it as a local church elder, family worker and preacher? Many thanks, Liam Link: https://www.logos.com/product/18545/journal-of-biblical-counseling

  • Shortcut/hotkey for Logos Resource Context Menu? (Windows 10)

Hi All, I am sure that I missing something really obvious here, but cannot find it in any of the wiki articles. Does anyone know if there is a keyboard shortcut to open the right mouse click context menu? You know the resource menu that has copy/paste/guide commands and lemma details, etc. in it. The windows Shift + F10 command isn't cutting the mustard

Apologies Rick, I didn't see your post before I replied last time. This is incredible helpful and has enabled to begin to create a much more focused visual filter. Thank you.

  • Re: Visual Filter Based on Proverbs Explorer?
I don't believe you can do this directly by using capabilities of the Proverbs Interactive. If you look in the Interactive you will see that "Evil" is tagged as a theme and the only fields we can currently search on are "Type" and "Form". You might want to look at the Preaching Theme "Evil" - if those give you the sort

  • Visual Filter Based on Proverbs Explorer?

Hi everyone, I was wondering whether anyone would know how to begin to use the theme categories from the Proverbs Interactive to begin to create a visual filter. As a worked example, how might I create a visual filter that red underlines all proverbs that deal with 'evil'? Many thanks, Liam

  • Re: First Year of Ministry Pastor Book Recommendations (apart from The Bible)

Hi JoshInRi, I'm a families' worker and local church elder at a church in the UK. Though these books might not fit your brief in terms of 'duties', they are three books that I have found extremely helpful in my relatively short time [five years] in formal church ministry. My hope is that they will compliment the practical ones :-). 1. Dangerous Calling

I'd like to take a moment to say that I'm so encouraged by the humility and respect on display in this forum post. It is very refreshing and, sadly, sorely needed on many a Christian forum.
God bless those with divergent theological views in this matter, but I am asking please for replies that do not mention purgatory. Thanks
