I have the latest Nvidia 1080 Ti and I also use a laptop with just an intel video card...they practically run the same.

I'd really like to see the store implemented more. Like, If I could browse the monthly sale or current sales and make a purchase directly in the app, that would be really neat. I'd also like to see more customization within the app. Meaning, I don't use the home page or the general search If I could swap those two out for something else that's more
Hi Anthony Running on an external drive is not going to be good. From what you said it sounds like your current laptop has both an internal SSD & HDD and that your SSD is almost full. I don't know the size of your drives for your system. But if your have a second SSD. Why not replace the internal HDD with the SSD and have them
-
Does anyone currently run Logos on an external SSD (USB 3.1)? If so, can you tell me your experience with it. I could always run it on my regular internal HDD on my laptop (internal ssd is almost full), but indexing takes too long with my library size.

It can definitely get confusing if you've been out of the "game" for a few months/years. It's like the tech world, if you don't stay in it and up to date, coming back after a long hiatus you may be in awe at how much has changed... But is there anything specific you would like us to help you with for an upgrade? We're all willing to help, but we would

FL has addressed this issue. You can now get the prices via email
While I am thankful for the change and think it is a step in the right direction, from a customer perspective it is still annoying. I can't think of a single other company I do business with that advertises a sale but requires
-
Yeah, it's a bummer they don't offer dynamic pricing. They did offer it in September 2015 and it was the first time they ever did that.
-
Excellent resources and tips. Thanks, I didn't know about these.

I am thinking about returning a mobile ed course and some other books. When I return them will the books be removed from my hard drive or do I just lose the license, but they stay on my hard drive? I typically don't think about this, but these particular books/courses are rather large. Thoughts?
What are your feelings about this? Is it worth the investment? Just wondering what everyone is thinking.
Yes, considering it'll probably be $400 after it comes out of pre-pub. $200 is a steal.
Good, I have a whole year of academic discount coming. So I can spread my purchases :P
Take advantage of it and buy everything you can. It'll be worth it.
-
I can't buy it either, but I can buy the Academic Journal bundle 2.1? I can see the price on the Master journal bundle, but not "buy" button. Not sure what's going on.
-
Anthony, about the academic discount. Do you still got an academic discount for the packages you bought after the first one? Because the website suggests there is an academic discount for the first purchase (and thus not for the following....
yes, every transaction said the academic and Logos Now discount applied.
-
About 2,200 for everything. Like I mentioned, the Eerdmann's Bundle alone (with dynamic pricing and academic discount applied) was more than all of the packages. I was able to basically clear out my wishlist right before my academic discount ended. I honestly wasn't planning on buying any new packages since I figured L7 would release after it expired
-
Collector's, Lutheran Portfolio, Anglican Portfolio, Reformed Platinum, Methodist/Wesleyan Bronze, and the Feature set. I purchased all of these separately ensuring dynamic pricing would work. Since I graduated seminary my academic discount ended on 8/25 I bought a lot. I wasn't expecting L7 to come out until Oct or Nov so I wouldn't have had my discount
-
They did mention some of the differences in the forums, but it wasn't explicitly clear. From my understanding the feature set basically replaced the crossgrade option that was available in older packages.
-
I have the feature set and still have Logos Now. The web app, Bible browser, and the courses are the reason I'm sticking with Logos Now for the time being. I purchased the feature set just in case I cancel Logos Now (still not entirely sold on subscriptions in general so I may not renew at the end of my year). The web app is my favorite part though
-
"The automatic updates of this manual will continue until the next major version of Logos officially releases." My interpretation of that sentence from the product page means it will not be updated from L7 forward...Would be good to know more since L7 is out.

Been with Logos since Logos 4. I went to Bible college in 2010 with a small base package. Used it a lot, but was disappointed with the lack of resources I had. I was a poor college kid. Fast forward to Seminary in 2013 and I upgraded to Logos 5 and got some extra resources that really helped my time there. Then Logos 6 came out and I couldn't help but
-
But that's the problem I'm facing. I got the Collector's today, but the Feature set on the website says I need to pay $82.63 for the rest of the data sets, even though I have the base package and Now...?
