• Re: Sorting by Reference Grayed Out

I don't know anything about media being restricted to ESV. that doesn't seem right. I recall being able to create your own media by right clicking on a selection of text (in any resource) and selecting Visual Copy. As for different translations, you're not limited to restricting note anchors to a specific translation. they can be anchored to a biblical

  • Re: Sorting by Reference Grayed Out

if you hover over it, it'll tell you why. Have to select a "resource" filter from the filter menu. The point, I think, is that selecting a notebook isn't discriminatory enough for the reference sort to work. Any given notebook can have anchors to all sorts of resources, plus they can be indexed quite differently. How would the system know how to sort

  • Ethics for a Brave New World, 2nd Edition

First edition is available in Logos, but I’d love to see the 2nd edition. Anyone? https://suggestbooks.uservoice.com/forums/308269-book-suggestions/suggestions/37006600-ethics-for-a-brave-new-world-2nd-edition

  • Re: Rant. Faithlife, Come on!

Worked fine for me. I just copied and pasted with Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V into Word. Font, font format, and table all came over just fine. All I did extra was: (1) select the entire table from the top left corner of the table, and add "all borders" from the table design ribbon (about 2-3 seconds of time), and (2) adjusted the left and right indents of each

That would be nice too. And what are the chances that FL just says, "close enough"? In the meantime, I'll enjoy the mobile ed courses by Frame just released yesterday.

  • Re: Search Query Question
Thanks Keep Smiling. I'm unfamiliar with the search window/tool you have open on the left hand side of your screen shot. What is that? How do I access it? It doesn't seem to be the same screen that I get when I click the search icon and click morphology. Thanks!
It's the morph query document. there's two ways to get to

  • Re: Search Query Question

As I'm clicking around in here, it looks like the morph query doc is also no respecter of versification. I suppose you could build a couple of those to capture the OR relation and get what you're looking for. As a quick check I searched g:pistis, g:agape, and g:elpis (each within a separate lemma field), unchecked the "in order" relation and changed

  • Re: Search Query Question

try using Inline Search (or regular search), but set it to Basic search rather than Bible search. Basic search can be set to search for matching sentences rather than verses . See below:

  • Re: DATA BUG IN BIBLICAL EVENTS?

Looks like only "the tower of babel is built" is a technical event that falls under the broader category of "story of babel" much like "Noah is Born" is an event that falls under the broader category of "Noah's Life", to use an example from your screen shot. Not sure if that's helpful for your purposes, but here's what I found:

Is it possible that your other bible tab (ESV) is open to 1 Pt 1.25? That's the only way I can replicate your screen shot.
Hello! What's the best way I can execute a search to list all instances of each NT metaphor used to reference the Church (i.e. Body of Christ, Bride of Christ, Family of God, etc.) in Logos 8? Thanks!
You could probably scale those results down by pasting the following search syntax into a bible search: {Label Figurative
