• Re: Passage Guide
I find it interesting that LimJK's system is saving it with no problems. This has me a bit confused as to why one system works and another isn't. I see I can edit out ones I do not use. So am I understanding you correctly Dave, to say unlike Logos 7, Logos 8 is not saving what we collapse upon restarting the program? But then

  • Re: Bug: Bible not tracking in custom Passage layout with linked Bible

John, Not sure how you did your customisation ... so just a wild guess. I think for your layout to work I supposed you have created you own customised "Series" to match your your choice of OT and NT Original Language text. So that your 2 panel will automatically switch between OT and NT text. See screen shot

  • Re: BUG? Very frustrating resource wasting library behavior

+1 I just upgraded to Logos 8 Platinum, so I was trying to follow best practice to tag newly purchased commentaries. After the first successful tag, while I am working on the second and subsequent commentary or group of commentaries ... typing part way through, the info panel in Library refreshes, sometimes to a blank panel ... I end up have to look

  • Re: Resource Panels in L8 provide less Usable Reading Space
As a work around, you can collapse the locator bar by clicking the x at the far right of the locator bar. You can reenable the Locator bar by click the three dots on the far right of the resource tool bar and selecting Locator bar
Thanks for the suggestion ... that gives me back some much needed real estate on my screen
Understood. Have you found it is doing the same on your system?
Bootjack, I am on macOS Mojave, after reading your post, I tried both restart Logos + reboot machine and restart Logos. I found the collapsed section works as expected. My screen shot here:
In Logos 7, you were forced to create a Passage Guide named "My Passage Guide" in order to have it replace the default system Passage Guide. Now the system takes care of that behind the scenes for you. You can find your "My Passage Guide" by running or editing the default system "Passage Guide". If you ever

  • Bug(?) Unable to rename "My Passage Guide (x)" to "My Passage Guide"

Hi, Just started using Logos 8 few hours ago. I started by editing "My Passage Guide" to see if there is any new sections I should add, after that I noticed that Logos forced a suffix and named it as "My Passage Guide (2)". So I decided to delete "My Passage Guide (2)" to reconstruct a new "My Passage Guide" ... Logos forced its name to "My Passage

JT, Thanks, after reading your post, I discovered that LEB Audio (NT) provides an option download the audio thus avoiding streaming that utilizes my cellular data. Unfortunately, the LEB Audio (OT) is still gathering interest in community pricing after a very long time https://www.logos.com/product/65159/lexham-english-bible-leb-with-audio-old-testament
Which passage were you trying to "read aloud?" Have you "purchased" the free audio book?
JT, Ah ha, you got me ... I was doing OT passages ... in your earlier post you mentioned Audio from Lexham (Free) so I happily assumed it is free for LEB without checking. Yes the NT passages are reading OK with good quality

David, I tested your scenario on my macOS environment (1) I turn off WiFi and not Ethernet connection, Start Logos 7, it started normally and does not prompt me for login (2) I also tried this to force Logos to work offline successfully: To work offline on a Mac, open the "Applications" folder, select Logos and press Command+O. Keep the Command key
The ESV audio book is provided by the publisher free of charge... provided that you can't download it. The reason it consumes your data is that it is streaming directly from the servers. This isn't likely the choice you want, but there are other translations with good audio... including the free "Lexham."
JT, Thanks

Bump, Any chance to give us an option to select the Choice of the Narrator and have that setting be persistent between restarting Logos? Thanks. With age, I found the Read Aloud feature to be useful while I am reading my ESV text, I have to use the "system narrator", as I notice that it does not help consume my limited cellular hotspot data, the way
