I hope nobody's cheating but I'm rooting for Carson
Ha! Ha! I'd like to say that as someone speaking from the UK, I am a great fan of both these gentlemen, and greatly enjoyed attending a conference where Carson was the guest speaker. I've seen him a couple of times and I use his 'Love of God' devotions every day

  • Re: Can anyone suggest good Logos Resources that discuss 'Replacement Theology'?

I would like to thank everyone for their quick replies - it's much appreciated! There seems to be such a love for all things Jewish and a sympathy for their plight and suffering, that many in the UK are adopting the view that God has a special plan for Israel and that the Christian Church has been mistaken to assume that the church is 'the new Israel

  • Can anyone suggest good Logos Resources that discuss 'Replacement Theology'?

Here in the UK there seems to be a growing trend to accept the views of 'Replacement Theology' which if I understand it correctly suggests that the Church has mistakenly adopted to itself many of the blessings and promises that should only be applied to Israel. And that God has a different plan, path or covenant with the people of Israel than than he
Yes, yes! Now would be the time to do it, finally, as he has completed his last book. I heard that in a communication from John Stott Ministries. I wonder how they can be so confident that it will be his last, but I guess it's true that he has entered his waning years. A Logos collection of his works could be an awesome tribute

  • Re: Can someone help me produce a new Copy Bible Verse Style please?

Hi Bill, I'm sorry not to be clear. It's not the actual scripture, but the way that the bible reference itself appears. I know it's silly but I'd like to copy/paste bible references so that they look like this. Is it possible?

  • Can someone help me produce a new Copy Bible Verse Style please?

Hi, I'd like to know if it is possible to create a style which shows Bible References with a single point, (stop) rather than a colon. i.e John 2.2 rather than John 2:2? If someone could show me how to do this I'd be very grateful.

  • Re: So... when can I just get a refund for the Sermon File Add-in?

I would simply like it to be noted that I was another user who regularly used the Sermon File Addin in L3 and was patiently waiting for it to appear in L4. I found it a really useful tool and am disappointed that so far it hasn't made its way into L4. I love Logos, but am sorry that this feature wasn't rated more highly or discussed more openly.

My four parish churches also use the NIV84 as their main bible text, and just like Richard we couldn't afford to change either. So I'm with Richard on this one.

I'd really like to see this paper by Dr John Bimson incorporated into the Logos Library. John J. • Re: A silly discussion about book covers!

Hi, just thought I'd let you all know that an email to technical support suggested that I rename the ResouceManager.db file, but sadly this didn't correct things. I finally resorted to uninstalling and re installing Logos. A 'sledge hammer to crack a nut' but it worked' - just took me all day to download my resources (sigh!), but all's well now. Thanks

Thanks Mark, for taking a look. It's very much appreciated. I have actually contacted technical support about it ,so if they come up with a solution I'll post it here.

Thanks Mark, I did what you suggested several times, and there didn't seem to be any difference. It's not life changing or anything - just a bit annoying! Here the file (or at least I think this is the one you want!): 1067.Metadata.db
Wonder why we don't have these available already?
Simply because N. T. Wright is a very prolific author, and these two works were produced after Logos decided to produce their N. T. Wright Collection. Surprised by Hope was the latest major work in that collection published in paper format 2007, but these two came out

Hi Jani, Have just done what I suggested of deleteing these two books in the Logos4 resource folder of 'app data' and they were re-downloaded but STILL with the wrong covers. Don't what's happening here! But thanks!
