• Re: How do I hide a resource in Logos 7?
This is so foreign to the way the rest of Windows works. The SHIFT and CTRL keys provide the extended selection in lists. Having to then press the CTRL key to change the Context Menu is very undiscoverable and does not conform to Windows standards. Maybe they can fix this. Right clicking, irrespective how an item got selected

How do you get anything besides 'All parallel resources'? I've been experimenting with other resources in collections but thus

Did you try Lynden's suggestion? I'm curious about this as well. Thank you.

Update to my last post -- Not sure what happened but I closed then re-opened the library window and it worked fine. Thanks for the original post.

  • Re: A Guide to Batch Hiding Resources

Hmmm... Selecting multiple resources is no problem, but Ctrl+Right-click only brings up the "Hide this resource" option...single not multiple. Perhaps something has changed over the last year?

  • Re: Logos Performance On Latest Kindle Fire

Thanks. I'll mostly have downloaded Logos books for reading along with some downloaded Bibles and reference works. Sounds like it will be fine.

  • Re: Logos Performance On Latest Kindle Fire

Thank you, Liam. As I mentioned to Ronald, if it's okay on the original it should be fine on the newer ones. Some of what you describe as far as speed goes should be taken care of by the new processor. Agreed, I'm mostly getting this for reading since I've felt like most of my Logos library has been trapped. Anything beyond that is great to have if

  • Re: Logos Performance On Latest Kindle Fire

Thanks, Ronald. If Logos runs okay on the original, then I'm sure it will be fine on the new one. Agreed, most of my serious study time is spent at my desk, which I would do regardless of mobile features. As I mentioned, I'm only buying the Fire to free my Logos books from their captivity! Reading comfortably is most important, followed by highlighting

  • Logos Performance On Latest Kindle Fire

I'm considering purchasing the latest generation Kindle Fire 7" HD. Though I have a Kindle e-ink model, it seems clear to me there will be no direct export solution anytime soon. So far, I've opted for the 7"HD 16GB over the non-HD 8GB model. My reasoning was that for $40 more I get a better screen (I saw them side by side in the store; book samples

  • Re: Bug In "Downloading Resources" -- Perhaps Logos Software Engineers Will LISTEN and Fix It?????

Good to see that Logos downloads going over 100% is a known bug. I'll chime in here since I had the same problem and it's a couple months after most entries on this thread and it's still a problem. I'm currently in the process of re-installing Logos 4 on a Win 7 laptop after having to re-install Win 7. Here's everything step-by-step if it's of any help

  • Sacred Books of the East - Community Pricing

I'm hoping to find some other folks to jump into the community pricing for this. Apologists, this looks like a great resource. I know this is available online, but there are no guarantees it will be maintained. I wouldn't mind having all of these indexed in Logos. However, I'm not in a position to go for the current $80 projected price. Can we get some

  • Re: Puzzling Kairos LBXVL file

@Kevin: Right - that's the file I already have on my system. While I did have previous versions of Libronix/Logos, I'm not sure how I got that one. No bother--I won't be getting around to Greek for a little while yet.

  • Re: Puzzling Kairos LBXVL file

I'm not sure. I saw on another thread that file type is (usually?) a vocabulary list. But I'm still not sure why I have that with nothing else? Also, since it's in the Downloads folder, I'm not sure where to place it to see if it's functional in any way. I associated Logos with that file but I can't open it directly (Logos opens but only to a blank

  • Puzzling Kairos LBXVL file

I recently got a new PC and have been cleaning out old files off my old one. I came across an LBXVL file for Kairos- A Beginning Greek Grammar. It was in my Windows Downloads file. I'm puzzled as to: 1) why it's in my Downloads folder (older download method?); 2) I don't have Kairos in my current Logos library and it doesn't show up in my order history

  • Re: Bug: Reading View Columns
The way Auto columns mode works is that it sometimes reduces the number of columns to allow specific "large" information - such as tables - to be shown correctly.
I had thought of that but when I paged beyond the tables to text only, it still stuck. However, I figured out later that as one pages back and forth,

  • Bug: Reading View Columns

I've recently installed Logos on a new computer and am currently running Logos 4.30.0.1597 on Windows 7 Home Premium. I just started using the Reading View feature. The default column setting was 'Auto' and Logos initially displayed my current book in 5 columns on my 27" wide screen monitor. However, even though I'm using a large monitor, Logos keeps

  • Re: Logos and Kindle

Agreed, Jan. There are a ton of books in my Logos collection that I probably will never read simply because traditional books are not well suited for the PC or my iPhone. Reference and research are great at the PC, but the Kindle is perfect for sustained reading. I hope Logos is working on something. Kindle sales are only increasing.
