It's safe as far as running Logos. But you do need to be aware that Catalina will not run any app you currently have that is 32 bit. Also Catalina will reformat your drive to APFS the new Apple file system. The Macintosh HD/System/Library folder should be visible and not hidden. (The user/library folder is hidden.) The Fonts and Keyboard layout folders likewise are not hidden and can be found at the location indicated by Reuben. An application such as "Pathfinder" will show hidden files as an option and also gives you a dual panel Finder like layout. In

Title should be macOS Catalina not iOS. iOS is the operating system for iPads and iPhones not Macs. Catalina also causes a crash of Logos 7 in case anyone is still using that version. In Christ, Charles

Thanks Jack. I think part of my problem is that I may not have not given the Library enough time to complete its indexing which may have led to some corruption. I have a good CCC backup which I can recover from and then try again. By the way, your Mac Logs link appears to be broken, however, the WIKI has logging instructions that I can follow. In Christ

Thanks for replying. Yes, I have closed Logos and re-opened it after the Library indexing was finished. I should mention that the Logos 8 package I downloaded was the free Basic. Some of the books that I'm trying to hide were included with that package. Not sure if that makes a difference or not? I have hidden books previously with Logos 7 and they

It appears that hiding books is not working in Logos 8. I have tried several times to hide books but they remain. I do receive a message that my library catalog is indexing but nothing seems to happen. I'm selecting the books, holding down the Option key, right clicking, and then selecting hide. This is on a Mac running Mojave 10.14.3. Hiding books

Both the NASB95 and the CSB clearly show "He" to be Jesus Christ. The NIV (2011) has to be read in full context. In other words read vv 1 Tim 13-15; again this points to Jesus Christ. In Christ, Charles

I'm not sure if "GFXCardStatus" works with the latest versions of High Sierra or Mojave but you can give it a try. It supposedly will allow you to control which GPU your Mac uses. It's a free app and can be downloaded: https://gfx.io/ In Christ, Charles
Wow!!!!!!!!! Finally! I have been waiting to complete my set as well, although I don't know if I can do it at this time.
That's a great price! Sure wish it had been offered several years ago. We already have all the volumes in print in our church library but it would also be great to have them on the go. Like
What I've discovered is that if I move a single resource, it works. If I try highlighting a group of resources then move them, it doesn't work. Do they have to moved individually -- one book at a time? On another note, does moving these resources to the hide resources section remove them from my hard drive? What can I do if

Reset your options not to receive email when something is posted to these forums. Your choice of course but in the many forums that I participate in I find it much more convenient for me to just scan the forum several times a day. Also, I believe you can choose to receive email only on those threads that you select. In Christ, Charles

All the forums that I'm aware of and participate in have the same problem with spammers. Most on line forums use vBulletin software which does have tools for stopping spam. However, even with moderators and administrators overseeing forums, spam will get through. There are various ways to stop it but none of them are 100% effective. It's best to just

I notice some Mac users of Logos and Accordance always seem to mention how fast or how good Accordance runs or ran on their machines. Let's not forget that Accordance was originally a Mac app and it's only lately that they have a Windows version. Whereas Logos started out and ran only on Windows machines for years before they finally came out with a
