There are several things related to highlighting and note-taking that I like better in Logos: I like the fact that you can make your highlighting carry over across all your Bibles. I also like the fact that highlights and notes are automatically backed up to Logos' server so if I have to reinstall I don't lose any of them. (In wordsearch you have to

The Basic version that all wordsearch users got doesn't have that shared highlight feature. I didn't have it until I upgraded to "Starter".

Apparently so. I upgraded to Starter at the special price, intending to upgrade to silver when I get paid tomorrow, but after I upgraded, the special prices are gone, so now I will have to settle for upgrading to bronze since that's all I can afford at the regular prices.

Which commentary is the "best" really depends on a lot of things. Your level of education or expertise, or Theological position, for example. If you're Reformed/Calvinist then "Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible" is unbeatable. There are commentaries based on the original languages (some of which are written so you don'y have to know Greek

I run Logos 8 on Windows 10 Pro. I can't think what the problem might be, but I can assure you that it does (or at least should) work without issue on that OS.

Whenever I highlight in one of my Bibles, then switch to another Bible, although the highlighting is still there, some of the words are not highlighted. Is there a fix for this? The attached screenshots show what I'm referring to.

Cool. This morning I wrote a note (the first one since buying Logos) then checked the Logos app on my tablet and the note was there. Thanks for the replies.

In the event I should either get a new computer or reset this one, do I need to manually back up my highlighting, or is all that synchronised on the server so that on my other computer all of it would be intact? I need to know this before I do any serious highlighting and note-taking. If I have to back it up manually, how do I do that?.

Thanks, that was what I was looking for.

I was just writing a post about this issue when this thread came up in the sidebar. Graham Criddle's answer was just what I was looking for. Thanks.

How do I change the default Bible? When I installed it I selected the KJV as the default, because the NIV module I purchased hadn't yet been installed, but now I want to change it and set the NIV as the default. How do I do this?

Thanks for the replies everyone. I bookmarked that help page so in case I ever have to reinstall again, if this problem comes up again. I went ahead and bought the Fundamentals package while it was on sale, and added the NIV.

OK, running it as administrator did the trick. Now to see how well it runs on this computer.

I have downloaded the installer three times (each time thinking I might have got a corrupted download the last time). When I click on it I get the error message "setup was unable to download a required file". I checked these forums and the support pages, but have been unable to find a solution. I tried making a firewall exception and even turning off
