• Re: Questions/Suggestions for NT Antiquity

Sadly not available in Logos, Jerome Murphy-O'Connor's St Paul's Ephesus is pretty good. He begins by combing the ancient literature for every significant reference to Ephesus, offering excerpts and commentary on each. The second part of the book takes you on a walk through Ephesus the way

  • book recommendations for sermons structure/outline?

Does anyone know of any books that analyze the sermon structure/outline of Moody and Spurgeon? Also, does anyone have any recommendations for books that analyze or list the many different sort of sermon structures/outlines that a preacher can use?

  • Tract/Book in Modern Greek - Suggestions?

Can anyone here recommend a good tract, booklet, and/or book, all written in modern Greek, that explains the Evangelical view of the Gospel to an Eastern Orthodox person? I searched online, but I was wondering if anyone here has any suggestions.

  • Question about old SESB 2

Does anyone know what resources are included in the old SESB Stuttgarter Elektronische Studienbibel 2 update (update auf version 2)? It has ISBN 9783438027030 and is the update from v1 to v2, but I know there's different versions of SESB 2, so I don't know exactly what's on the update. Also, does one have to have SESB 1 in order to use the SESB 2 update

  • Re: There is a new Mohr Siebeck NT bundle on the horizon!

I've been waiting a long time for this bundle make it past pre-pub. I'd pay the pre-pub price for just the one book by Caragounis, "Development of Greek and the New Testament", which sells for $75 list even as the Baker paperback reprint. I think his criticisms of Porter's view of Greek aspect are important and should be more widely known, regardless

  • Re: Pre-pub - Analytical Lexicon of the Vulgate
Thanks, reader. I had not noticed. Would have been a nice mention in the Lab's latin embroglio. Although I'll admit I'm not sure if this prepub is a subset (and needed) of the Dictionary of Latin Forms, which appears to have covered a wider waterfront?
I compared the Analytical Lexicon's sample pages with the entries in

  • Pre-pub - Analytical Lexicon of the Vulgate

I'd like to see the Analytical Lexicon of the Vulgate make it to publication, but it's not doing so well in pre-pub. https://www.logos.com/product/148408/analytical-lexicon-of-the-vulgate I find the Lexham Greek and Hebrew analytical lexicons for the OT and NT useful as a supplement to lexicons, especially when I link them to BDAG and HALOT, so that

  • Re: Aramiac Interlinear

Maybe I'm misunderstanding what you're looking for, but the The Lexham Hebrew-English Interlinear Bible (LHI) has interlinear for both the Hebrew and Aramaic sections of the Old Testament. It has English glosses under the Aramaic words and also morphological tagging for the Aramaic words, not just the Hebrew words.

  • Re: Better Way of Reading Proverbs?

I found this file by a search on the internet, it groups all the proverbs in Proverbs into categories, but some appear in multiple categories. I'm also not familiar with the author's beliefs or denomination, you can search that out on his website if that matters to you. The file is 1462.ClassifiedProverbs.pdf Also, in case you haven't seen it, this

  • Re: Logos 8 Wishlist

I’m late in responding, but could you please consider these features? 1. for word lists, have a built-in feature to choose words by frequency within the entire OT/NT and also within individual passages (e.g., include only words which occur between 1 and 10 times in Matthew 1) 2. for word lists, be able to have lemmas listed with their Greek/Hebrew

Father, I thank you for sending your Son, who bore our infirmities and sicknesses (Mtt 8:17). I pray that you touch Larry's body and totally heal him of his sicknesses, in Jesus' name, through the power of your Spirit. Sickness, leave Larry's body and never return, in Jesus' name. Amen.

  • Percentage Discount Off A Single Order

Could Logos sometimes have a one-week sale where they offer a 20-25% discount off a single order, that can be used only once during that sale? Other companies like Accordance sometimes have this kind of sale. I've been waiting for over a year or for several years for some resources to go on sale in Logos, since I haven't wanted to pay full value for

Thanks, I hadn't realized that the Logos edition wouldn't have the audio. I asked Logos and they said that it doesn't look like audio is included. It's still a good offer, but I'll probably cancel my pre-pub.

  • Re: Modern Greek Pronunciation for Word Lists

I should have mentioned that the same problem occurs for the Greek roots in "Bible Word Study" not just the Greek words in "Word List"; even if the pronunciation is set to Modern Greek, the roots in "Bible Word Study' are pronounced in Erasmian Greek not Modern.
