Has it been made available through the update channel as of yet?
I get RC1 thru the Beta channel. • Scripture references

I've always thought you could reference any book in scripture by just typing the first three letters of the book but I've noticed that I have to type "mark" to get the passage guide or the particular bible I'm in to go to a reference in Mark. Any idea why "mar" doesn't work?

  • Expositor's Bible Commentary

This set is offered in pre-pub for $129. I take it it's not the revised set which was published in 2008, right? In that case will the set be updated by Logos and will the update be free of charge?

  • Re: installing books

Tom, If you have L3, try letting L3 find the new resources and load them. Then open L4. L4 should check and see that you have a license for the new resources and then download them automatically.
And I was just thinking how nice it would be to be able to print what you see here to a PDF....highlights...formatting...the works....
I too, am anxiously awaiting the upcoming printing functionality of Logos. Since Logos is "state of the art" I would expect a WYSIWYG capability, at minimum. The ability to print something

  • CBV fixes...

Logos, Since I've been one of those critical about the CBV functionality I'd like to be among those who acknowledges the fix, particularily in the Header section. So, thanks! It is greatly appreciated! James

Thanks Rosie! I don't have any imported notes from L3 but I'll hang in there (pun intended) and see what 4.0 C has in store...

  • Crash/Hang on opening...

I've noticed an increased frequency of Logos crashing or hanging upon opening. Usually I get a Microsoft request to trouble shoot the problem. At that point I just cancel the request and restart the program. This usually solves the problem, on the next restart the program runs normally. I think I started noticing this after the 4.0b SR-2 release but
We are waiting for Logos to implement Word lists that will make this type of analysis easier. However, with that said, the Analysis view can do some significant things right now. I'll take your example of 1 and 2 Peter. Sorting by Lemma allows us to see a list of verbs used along with frequency.
Kevin, Your response

  • Analyzing the text

Is there a way to analyze the similarities or diferences of the text of a book or books? For instance how would I analyze the text of Isa 1-39 against the text of Isa 40-66 or the text of 1 Peter against 2 Peter. What I'm looking for is the style of vocabulary used, specific words, frequency of similar and dissimilar words, etc. Thanks for any comments

  • The Cloud....

Interesting article [http://redtape.msnbc.com/2010/04/the-constitutional-issues-raised-by-cloud-computing.html#posts] on cloud computing. I sometimes wonder about the eventual impact on companies like Logos. Anyway, interesting reading if you don't have anything else to do.
I just got the SESB yesterday, pretty much entirely for the Greek and Hebrew critical apparatuses. However, because Logos 4 doesn't allow you to change the link colors, the dark blue link in the text makes the critical marks in the text a little bit difficult to see. The idea in the thread I posted was to create a visual

You may disregard this post if you like. I found a link that I think answered my question: http://community.logos.com/forums/p/12271/95729.aspx#95729 . I'm not completely satisfied with the answer but at least now I know.

  • Visual filters with SESB

I just purchased the SESB edition for Logo users and noticed none of my visual filters (verbs, participles, moods, etc.) work in that product. Any reason why this would be the case?
James, for the best identification of the problem you will need to capture a crash with Logging enabled and then upload to the forum.
I'll do that next time I'm in my office.... Thanks!

  • This is getting a little annoying.....

Since the release of 4.0b I've noticed more crashes of L4. This only happens on my Win 7 64 bit machine -- (HP Pavilion Elite, 1TB DDR, Core 2 Quad CPU Q9300 @ 2.5 GHz, 8 MB RAM) I have a similar home system in a Dell that's 32-bit but I'm not getting the same problems with it. The problem first occurred when I received the initial download of 4.0b
