• Re: Retiring the Windows Store apps
When evaluating the cost of fixing these problems, we decided that it would be better to focus on improving touch support in Logos 6. Several of our developers own a Surface Pro 3 (and use it regularly at church) so we understand the problems with using Logos 6 on a tablet.
Thanks Bradley. This is

I'm running Logos on a Lenovo Helix with similar specs. It runs superbly. No problems at all.

  • Universal Windows Apps Finally!

I sure hope Logos is paying attention to the Windows 8 annoucement today. Quote: And the final piece with the app situation is Universal Apps. At long last, common code can be used to develop for phones, tablets, laptops, and desktops. Visual Studio will now build one application, which can have both Windows 8/RT and Windows Phone binaries . This also

I don't care about Windows RT. But I certainly don't want to have to run the full version of Logos on a Dell Venus 8 Pro in order to enjoy reading in a comfortable fashion. Seriously. That would be ridiculous.
We have very few users of the 'Metro' interface, and almost all of them also use Logos via desktop Windows and/or another platform, too.
Indeed. But they fill different purposes, particularly on tablets & hybrids. I don't really care about ARM. But having a nimble, small memory/CPU footprint metro app is a huge value

  • Re: A Case for an Improved Windows Store App

Windows Store is terrible because there aren't any good apps. There aren't any good apps because Windows Store is terrible. Logos won't improve the Windows App unless enough people use it. I have no interest in using unless Logos improves it. I feel like Yossarian.

  • Right clicking on Icons and scrolling

I don't remember if this happened in Logos 4 and I can't really check. Maybe it did. But in Logos 5, if I right click on a book icon I've placed in the space to the right of the Command Box, and then press down key on my keyboard, it scrolls the active window. I would expect that it would let me move between options for opening the book in question
That is light weight for Logos, so let us know how it goes.
For reference, I use a HP netbook with an AMD E-350 with 6GB of RAM and its surprisingly snappy--much better than L4 was.But AMD's netbook processors are better than Intel's (for the time being, that'll change in the next 6 months).
With all the confusion caused by this upgrade I found it interesting that you chose to uses as your example one of the most difficult class of nouns in Greek--Contract Nouns of the 2nd Declension! ὁ νόο + ς = νοῦς. The root really is νοο the ς is just your normal 2nd declension ending. What really gets interesting is the
This is a common way of stating the issue, and it's correct that this decision is out of the hands of Logos. However, there's a third player here: the Committee on Bible Translation . These are the actual owners of the NIV (not Zondervan), they contract with Zondervan as their exclusive publisher in the U.S. and Logos

Maybe by the time this is rolled out, I'll have $100 left in my book budget and opt to purchase this set. (Fingers crossed...)
actually, if before posting, you would have done due diligence and researched the subject, you would have found out that Zondervan has all 3 titles as eBooks on their website and they are identical for Amazon, Barnes&Noble, Kobo, CBD, Sony. So it seems that your argument is wrong, without merit, accusatory, too general, like
So, is the majority of Logos' users content with 50%-100% markup? Really? What do you consider a fair markup (compared with Kindle) for the added value of Logos Searching and Indexing?
